Seachoice Gas Deck Fill - Lock & Unlock

The Seachoice 32051 SS Gas Deck Fill has a locking cap to help prevent fuel theft. When in the locked postion the cap will free spin to prevent the cap from being removed. Once unlocked all you that is needed is a little bit of force and the cap can be easily removed.

Mine is brand new and the lock broke. I cannot get my fuel cap off and am stranded. Thanks a bunch. Nobody is helping me

What keeps a thief from just unscrewing the mounting screws and removing the entire cap?

While nothing can be 100% thief-proof, our locking deck fill cap adds a layer of security that non-locking caps cannot provide. In addition, even if the mounting screws are removed, the deck fill will still be difficult to remove thanks to the hose clamp, which is not accessible above-deck, and a very thick fill hose.
