I just found your channel looking for reactions to the Lakers series. To be up front, I am an old head. A Laker fan from way back... discovered the game when Lew Alcindor was leaving college and entering the NBA. I lived for the showtime era Lakers. Norm Nixon, Keith Wilkes, Kurt Rambis. I'm not a fan of the Lebron era or most of modern day basketball. I am patiently looking forward to the next iteration of the Lakers so I can return to backing the purple and gold. I'm big on hoops (when played right) and like your style. So I never imagined I would be checking out your videos and finding 'this' sort of content. Or these reactions. So much to unpack here... So I will take a deep breath and give my 'reaction' to your reaction of this odd video.
Well for starters... Dude. Chill. it's fiction. Dad did not have sex. It's fiction. They pointed a camera. He read his lines. Probably got up when they said 'cut' and went home to his real life wife. Chris Hemsworth is not Thor. He doesn't have a hammer that comes back to him. It's play acting. It's fiction.
For whatever reason they wrote or produced this... written by an amateur... acted by moderately skilled actors... the whole point was to build up to this big reveal, this 'twist' that everyone in the family had slept together. I can't tell you what the point of this story was. I chalk that up to bad writing where the writer was more excited by his big reveal than revealing any insight or reason why he wrote all this in the first place.
Okay, so that's the fiction part. On to the reality part.
I am confident you didn't wake up and have a serious heart debating the pros and cons of vag vs meat. Not you or anyone else. No one chooses their sexual identity. You are what you are. They are what they are. The only 'choice' humans make is how to conduct themselves going forward. You speak as if you have little to no contact with people of other sexual identities. Which is alright. Most people don't. But eventually, if not this very moment, you will have someone in your life - that you care about - who is LGBT. Be it your own child. Or the child of family member. Or friend. They may be very young, maybe as young as the kids you warn 'not to watch this video.' Except that kid perhaps IS perhaps watching this video. Not to see the weirdness of this fictional story.... but how YOU react to someone like THEM. You can shape or impact them on how they feel about life, themselves, their place in the world. Imagine your cousin's son or daughter, struggling with their own identity. And they come here to see this video and see uncle Dan squeal and get icky about seeing some gay !%$^. Imagine it tips the scale, because of their respect for you, and they attempt suicide or kill themselves because that was the last straw and they could no longer cope. This is the reality part.
I am writing all this for only one reason. As I said I came to your channel to check out basketball reactions. So why am I bothering? Definitely not to try and change your mind or attitude about trans people or anything else. I am writing because you hearted the comment: "This generation is pretty much screwed until us actual humans find a way to fix it.
Actual humans? As if to imply those 'icky' people who do 'icky' things aren't actual humans? There is a world of weird stuff when it comes to human sexuality. And if the idea of a man wearing a bra freaks you out, you clearly haven't been using the search engine of Pornhub looking at heterosexuals cross dressing. But I digress. No matter what you may think of 'all that', there is no sicker, more dangerous perversion than to think there are 'actual humans' vs. what? Non humans?... It is an evil. Because once you feel someone is less than, it opens the door to treating them in any manner of subhuman ways. Russians are busy killing Ukrainians this very moment you're reading this. Ending a human life with no possible recovery for no reason other than they consider them 'less than'. It is how you get slavery. It's how you get war. It's the oldest vice known to man and it has left humanity with a sad, bloody history. It's 2023 and human beings still haven't learned this lesson.
That comment does not deserve a heart button. It deserves condemnation.
