Love this kind of videos!!!! more of this please!
would like to see people talking about bottom board shapes and the meanings of it, and also the kind of board/fin you would maybe want to use for the different wind directions, meaning on shore, side shore etc.
    Thanks!!!!
Forgot to say that I'm loving my point-7 sails

Andrea is always very generous with information about his sails. Would love some similar tuning tips on the simmer 2xc! Would also be great to hear more about the philosophy and design choices behind the sail.

Love to see rigging tips and board set up tips. Would love to see any slalom sail rigging ( I am chasing speed personal bests) and perhaps rigging of some.no cam free ride sails to see the difference between them and slalom

I don’t personally use race sails but I enjoyed the detailed explanations and reasoning behind the mast selection, downhaul tension, batten tension etc. It all made sense!

Nice and interesting as always Thank you!! As an idea for a new topic, I would be interested in understanding how fins manage to create vertical lift. What ia actually going on down there? cheers

    Love these videos,
A small suggestion if I may: When explaining things like adjustments, downhaul, how tight something is, it would be even more clear if they do actually do it and show like 3 levels:
    - medium/correct
    - too much - "then you will now see this wrinkle, line, etc has changed a bit towards left/up/inwards..."
    - too little
Then it becomes more clear what we should be looking for!
I understand if there is no time for this of course, already grateful for this information!

Great sail tuning info. The how and why? Question regarding RDM v. SDM for sails requiring 430 or longer. More or less true for most makes of sail either cam or no cam?

Does the advice with the spacer on the highest camber apply to all sails of the last years, or only the 2022 AC1?

Where is the article that Andrea Cucchi referred to, which he said contains all advice in this video? I could not find it.

hi, why do you use a wide camber on a RDM mast?

    • @AndreaCucchiITA1
      @AndreaCucchiITA1 3 роки тому

Hi the rdm mast is used on sails where normally we use the 400rdm and down. Over that we use the sdm mast as it's more stable for size of sail, and lighter too. The sdm mast sails are using longer cams as the profile line is actually also longer. We don't use those long ones on the rdm mast as the sails are smaller and would push the profile more back which we do not like. The cams used on the rdm mast is actually an rdm cam.
