great video , looking to get this in the next few months. can you add any commentary on this as a daily used motor whats the fuel economy like when driving normally ? mpg on town driving compared to motorway
Thanks for support man. You will love every minute you spend with a car, it's so much fun to drive. You can just casually cruise with it or you can put those 354hp to work and fly on a road. So for a consumption: driving in a city is somewhere between 19.5 and 18.0 mpg. Motorway, I'm usual driving around 85mph and consumption is around 24.8 to 25.2mpg. Lowest consumption I had was when I was driving on open road for 15 minutes at a speed of 55mph and it was 42.8mpg believe it or not.
I have the same car. Just to confirm other comments above, it’ll do 35-40mpg at 60-70mph. About 18mpg around town - My ‘long term’ average on the Virtual cockpit is showing 23mpg. If you push it, it will use an unimaginable amount of fuel, and the sound produced while it does, is fantastic. On the other hand, drive it carefully, use the start/stop and use cruise control, and you’re getting some really really good mpgs.
Honestly if you want mpg get the A5, an s5 is not meant to drive really conservative an A5 is. Driving even low spirited in sport mode and no I'm not talking about driving like a mad man , will kill your mpg. But if I nwanted to drive "normally" I would have an A5 and saved 10k.
Supercharged S5 were until year 2017. After that they started putting turbocharger in B9 S5, and with that they increased torque. Not sure how those 2 compare soundwise
City drive is usually 9-12L/100km depends on driving style and how much traffic is out. On this vid with casual cruse, consumption was around 10L. If you hit traffic jam it can go higher than 12L. I saw consumption of 15L, 2 times since I got a car, and that was really bad traffic jam. One time, it took me 30 minutes to drive 300 meters through intersection that was blocked by a stopped car. And that was 15.2L
@@indiromerovic8545 at 130 the consumption is below 8L. When I go 150, it's between 8 and 9L. Lowest I saw was 6.6L/100km and that was when I drove 90km/h for 15 minutes straight.
In last 30 000km I have just over 11.5L average and that is mostly city drive. I use it as daily, and i think that this consumption is great if you take into account for all that car gives you
@@TNT_Creations interessting, I have an 2017 s3 sedan, and it's at 8.8l combined, a lot of city. Because in used car sales they aren't that far differentiated

@@IRaoulDuke you can save 10k NEXT YEAR. Right now the difference in price between an A5 sportback and a S5 sportback is $3k-6k USD

Stock? Sounds good
Yap, it's all stock.

What camera do you use and how to you mount it to get POV view like this in a car?
I'm using DJI Osmo Action. And I mount camera on front of a baseball cap with a quick clip attachment.
@@TNT_Creations External Mic or built in mic?
@@andrewhoward4570 built in mic. The sound is awesome for stock mic, do you agree?
what is fuel consumption when u drive like that ?

Dude, dont put radio sound on during a POV drive wtf.
Thank you for your suggestion. I think that radio sound is part of POV drive for full experience.
@@TNT_Creations would be nice to have both, so we can listen to the gorgeous exhaust sounds ;)

@@TM-nk2du that'a a great consumption for S3 if it's combined driving. But it rly depends on driving style if you know what I mean
