BJJ Fanatics was started by a pair of black belts (Bernardo Faria & Michael Zenga) who feel that nothing is more important than improving your BJJ skills as much as possible in the least amount of time. Their aim was to create a shop for BJJ Students who don’t look at BJJ as a sport - but as a lifestyle.

When is X Escape being released?
🔥🥋 very sneaky. I love the set up. What keeps his hand in there once you let go of the hand/wrist?
*I am no one special so grain of salt*
but I use similar attacks from bottom sidemount and and a few things that make it work for me are;
1. The positioning of your opp. arm (both the upper arm is pinned down and the wrist is elevated by the attacking leg so using the simultaneous clamp and lift their arm mobility is greatly reduced, if they can push their arm straight or lift their wrist over your leg/foot you don't have them 😭. Try it without resistance and you'll get a good feel of it).
2. Using your arms and body to keep them from posturing up (raising their upper torso will raise their shoulder so similar to a bicep crush/slice you want them "flat" on you where you can better leverage these style attacks).
3. Probably most important, you need to keep them engaged with the pin/passing to mount, but if they are getting away you need to have a back up threat that you can make good on to keep them them in a defensive mind state.
If they pull away then you have a lot of options to get up, recover guard, sweep, submit, etc. So attacking like you have them in the archer or crucifix or like the kimura/post sweep combo, give them the choice between the frying pan or the fire and you will find people diving head first into one trap trying to avoid the other.
