I don’t need a new audio interface but now I need a new audio interface….thanks
hahah awwwww gear is a fun investment hehe
Thank you so much for sharing your videos. I love your style. Quick and to the point. I've learned so much from you about logic than I've learned from all the other influencers who love to talk for 30 minutes before giving a 1 minute fix for the problem. You're amazing. I love your videos.
Aw thank you so much!!
I'm very happy with my SSL 2+. Love the fact that it has a second pair of outputs, as well as a second headphone output, which i find extremely useful in a home studio when tracking a 2nd person. Also the preamps are quite good IMO, and the 4K button adds a slight sparkle to the inputs. And just recently, a firmware update added loopback, which is great. I still have my original Apollo Twin Duo silver.. I have owned both the Scarlett 2i2 and a Duet 2. i did like the way it integrated with Logic.
thanks so much for sharing! good thoughts!
According to Julian Krause, if you can’t get great recordings with any of the interfaces he has tested, you shouldn’t be recording. I think lots of people suffer badly from GAS Guitar acquisition syndrome and want the next best thing that comes out. Don’t worry, be happy with the interface you have as the song said.
I use a Steinberg UR22C which is a great basic interface and like the blend knob so you can hear your instrument over other tracks when recording. Seems many other interface manufacturers don’t have this function like my 3rd gen Scarlett solo. I did suggest that they fit a blend control when they asked for feedback when I first registered it. 🤗🤗🤗I know some have it in the software but I prefer it on the housing.
Great video. I'm using an Apollo X8 for my home studio and an Apollo Twin for my mobil rig. Love the converters and the interface was easy to learn. It also comes with some DSP hungry plugins which sound great. I can use it seamlessly across my primary DAWs (Protools, Logic, and S1). Pricey, but to my ears the converters, quality, and fabulous plugs are worth the investment. Thanks!!
thanks for sharing! awesome!
What a great video I really enjoy your content. I’ve been shopping for a new interface because I’m running out of inputs lol. I’ve been using a focusrite Scarlet 4I4 that I picked up used and has served me well for many years. Never underestimate the value of used gear. You can get a much better interface used than new.
I like how you approach the subject matter and break it down among the various options. The only thing I would suggest is not to jump cut the editing because it is hard to watch.
I’m not sure perhaps there is an AI tool that is editing out the gaps and umms in the video so the they are eliminated?
Personally, I am fine with seeing how a person speaks for real as opposed to a corrected version because AI is not all that. 😂
Hope that helps. Like I said, I really enjoy your content and style and keep up the great work!
The Focusrite Scarlett is a great beginner interface to use. I have had mine for years.
Love the Scarlett!!!
Please stop telling people that you can record with “zero latency”, it’s not accurate and ends up leading to a lot of confusion and misunderstanding.
Can you elaborate on this? I'm looking to get my first proper unit and I'm not quite sure what actually affects latency.
@@javeduddin latency is simply the lag that is introduced as the computer is processing things,Ike effects, causing the audio recording to be delayed after the corresponding instruments are played.
What should be simultaneous winds up being separated by milliseconds or seconds if the latency is bad. Personally, I notice it most in percussion because with rhythm tracks the timing is essential.
@@sean808080 thanks for the explanation!
I have a scarlet foucsrite, apolgee boom, & Rodecaster pro2. I recommend the Boom, it’s packed with preamp so it’s loud punchy n clear. It comes with a control app that has built in plugs via channel strip. Plus it’s sexy on the desk like a juicy piece of candy😂
Appreciate the shoutout Seids 💜
Ah always got to show love to Apogee!!
You forgot to mention audio quality. I've tested out a few interfaces and what i've found is the Focusrite Scarlett sounds good but the Audient ID14 sounds a lot better, the sound qualitry is more true to the audio source being recorded. On the Audient ID14 the midrange clarity is better and so the high frequencies a bit too. The Apogee Boom has the same converters in as the Duet 3 as far as i've read. Now I have a Boom myself and have many audio interfaces over the poast few years including the Focusrite Scarlett and Audient ID14. The Boom has better sound quality than both the Audient and Focusrite, the midrange is quite a bit clearer. The D-A conversion in the Audient ID14 was average not great, in the Focusrite is about the same, average. In the Apogee Boom the D-A was way, way better, the vocals, instruments, and even the low end was cleaners, clearer and more realistic it sounded to me from listening to music on my computer coming out of the Apogee Boom that the artists were actually in front of me. The realism is amazing for it's price range. It definitely beats any audio interface i've heard in it's price range and even beats some twice it's price for D-A conversion. Now, you mentioned the Duet 3 is industry standard for portable interfaces, i'm sorry but I don't agree, yes many people do use the Duet 3 but the industry standard for portable interfaces is the RME Babyface Pro FS. The RME is quite expensive I think it's around £800 here in the UK right now but it is widely regarded as the best portable audio interface bar non. The RME drivers are legendary reliable, the converters are absolutely top notch and the same converters (from what i've heard) RME use in their UFX interface which is VERY expensive. The RME Babyface Pro FS is so good that many of the world's best sound engineers who do the sound for live gigs and tours even use it, alongside even higher end interfaces and digital mixing desks too. The RME interfaces are legendary reliable too, many people still have the older Babyface the first edition and have used it everyday for over ten years and still they're working flawlessly. Most interfaces are dead by about five years. By the way my room is acoustically treated a bit and my monitors are Alesis M1 Actives mkII which are excellent monitors and back when they were released were said to be excellent. Even recording studios said for the money they're a very good monitor. They're old now but still excellent. I've had them since new and they still work perfectly. But anyway my point was I heard the differences in sound quality on my Alesis M1 Active mkII monitors.
great thought! thanks for sharing and thanks so much for watching!
@@SEIDS_ That's ok I used to be a professional sound engineer working with sound systems and had my own recording studio too so i'm very fussy about any equipment's sound quality.
Im planning to buy devices like rodecaster pro 2 / Mackie Dlz / yamaha ag08 in order to get the best from both worlds : audio recording quality and live performance functionalities
Thanks Seids, that has been helpful. Could you make a similar video about monitors?
thanks! and maybe one day!!
@SEIDS
Excellent video, thank you!
I have the BOSS RC-600 looper and I also use it as an Audio Interface, but since I never used other ones I couldn't say if it in comparison is any good.
Would you be interested in doing such a comparison? Please, please!
Hey! Would be curious about interfaces with integrated eq’s for eurorack for example?
Great video! Very helpful!
I never ever print the dsp. I do have the dsp plugins matched in the track as a starting point.
MY QUESTION IS I JUST WANT A GOOD QUALITY AUDIO INTERFACE FOR SINGING VOCALS I DONT WANT TO HAVE TO UPGRADE LATER ON ID RATHER BUY A GOOD ONE NOW SO WHAT WOULD YOU RECOMMEND FOR ME THAT IS.😊
This is a really beginner, green question now that i know what an interface looks like. What do they do?
Hi ma'am,, I want to record my written poetry professionally. Suggest me a good audio interface and microphone. But my room is not sound proof. The sound from outside comes inside our room. My total budget is $350.
Many people told me to take a dynamic mic. Can I mix it after recording with dynamic mic? Like in condenser mic.
You can get a great condenser mic for 350$!
@@SEIDS_ I want Condencer mic 🎤 and audio interface too. Could you Suggest me?
I love the new SSL one too
I need to check that one out!
Solid state logic...hmm
Have the SSL 2+. Love it.
Curious to know if you have any thoughts on the RME Babyface Pro FS. I love mine. Thanks!
I’ll have to check it out! Thanks!
I recently purchased an Antelope Audio Zen Q, it's a little cheaper than the Apollo
I was thinking of getting the ssl 2 after watching a few videos on UA-cam . Is that a good option?
I haven't tried that one yet!
🔥🔥🔥 i would love to see a video about how you get clients, revenues and all the financial stuff🙏🙏
yes! I have made a few videos about that! Check out my video about building your music business ua-cam.com/video/olesq54ff5k/v-deo.html
You need to explain what input microphone or jack
Hi SEIDS!
I had a problem a couple of weeks ago, and wasn't able to find a solution yet...
I have the Scarlett 2i2 3rd gen, and suddenly I couldn't hear anything from my monitors. each time I connected my laptop, as usual, to the interface, and played something with sound, there was a repeating beep that lasted around 5sec. No other sound could be heard. I checked the monitors, and they do work, the cables are okay. It's either a problem with my computer, which I don't know what it could be, or a problem with the interface. When I connect an instrument, we can see the gain, with the colours, but still can't hear anything.
Please help me, I'm already thinking about buying a new interface because of that.
Thank you,
Daniel
Why do you mean by learning curve for the Apollo Twin? What was hard to grasp about it?
its not plug in and play honestly even getting it connected to my m1 Mac was a task. And then you have to learn about its own separate console. Its definitely not rocket science but when I was first starting out it was just way to overwhelming. BUT I also get very frustrated with tech if doesn't work immediately lol
Have you tried the new and extremely expensive Neumann interface?
Thank you!
TOPPING E2X2 has been released. The specs look better than Apollo Twin X.
BIG LIKE FROM "ISRAEL" !!
Thank you!!
The more expensive interfaces look so futuristic omg
they sure do! thanks for watching!
Wow, just checked out your channel. You said, Focusrite, you can't go wrong with them. You must be on Mac because their Windows ASIO drivers are some of the worst in the business!
😎😎😎
Thanks!
I would say Apollo the best
Love the apollo!
I love your videos!!!
Focusrite? Good but SOOOOOoooooo played and cliche. One word: TASCAM MIXCAST 4. For $380 it does everything and more, including onboard recording, that all these devices do. Please review it. Thank you.
