Sendim | Miranda do Douro | Portugal

It is a village of medieval origin, possessing a vast and rich architectural heritage; Mother Church, Chapels - Our Lady donates seventeen remedies São Sebastião seventeenth century and Our Lord of Good Death, the chapel of São Paulo, the fresco of the Saints in the cliffs of the Douro, several cruises, fountains and other archaeological finds.

They are characteristics of Sendim its dialect, Sendinês, that in a certain way is a variation of Mirandese; today considered the second language of Portugal. Sendim belongs to the Mirandese plateau in Trás-os-Montes and as such in the interior of Portugal.
The village of Sendim is located in the area of ​​the Douro International Natural Park, an area rich in fauna and flora. It is a village located a few kilometers from the river Douro and as such is identified with the cliffs, even being called the "Capital of the Arribas". The rocks that make up the banks of the river provide magnificent views.

Lugar muito tranquilo. Estranhei algumas ruas bem largas. E tive saudade da minha infância, vendo o carro de boi. Meu avô costumava dizer que o carro de boi canta! O som dele é inconfundível! E penso que o ditado "carro apertado é que canta" vem exatamente daí. Abraços, amigo! Boa semana!

Obrigada por este riquíssimo vídeo não conheço Sendim pouco conheço o Nordeste Transmontano embora o meu Distrito seja Bragança saí da minha aldeia em 1955 vim para Lisboa para a primeira classe nestes anos todos só regressei umas quatro vezes já lá vão 40anos não tenho interesse mas já visitei Vila Real ,Chaves Mirandela Carrazeda de Ansiaes conheço melhor o Litoral desde o Minho ao Algarve etc Bem Haja ...
