- The pink line on your S7 edge comes from overheating issues with the phone. When you play with your phone it gets hot. When you add a charger it overheats and the issue starts. When you apply pressure to the top of the screen the line flashes/dissapears/brightens/turns gray. It is a connevtion issue on the top right side of the screen as seen in the video!
Also work on s6 edge

This actually worked for me lol. I thought it wouldn't because of the dislikes, but pressing near the camera made it disappear.
this has been the most ridiculous issue i've ever had on a phone, especially for a phone like the s7 edge. can't believe how expensive it is to fix this and it's not even guaranteed that i won't happen again. i would never have bought this phone if i knew about this problem

Lucas Lux the fix is you eventually need to remove the screen and fix the connection on the top right side of your screen. On some devices the screen color reset fixes the issue.

TheRandomComment Guy there are videos about the fix available on youtube now. Some ppl use a piece of tape and some use a piece of foil. Look em up. You have to remove back glass and some other components to get to the faulty connection tho.

For me mine was very faint.. I put a lot of pressure near the camera and it disappeared completely.. it used to only appear if there was slight pressure there now any pressure there at all and it wont re appear.. may have just been a little issue where my back glass needed to be pushed in a bit.. not sure
Update: It came back a few days later, got the phone priced for a fix, was told the issue would not get any worse but it will only stay the same and be mildly annoying, to anyone who has this issue, it's not going to progress into something worse but it will be irritating
It does get worse. Mine was tiny now I s 100 pink lines I can barely see my screen it's like 2cm wide
Mine got worse, pink line expanded and a white on appears horizontally across the screen.

Hey. For me the issue went so far that my screen stopped working entirely. Pink lines spread about 1cm wide and then screen would not "boot up" from screensaver mode. When pushing the top it would boot up at times so I managed to get all my stuff from the phone so beware. :)
Expensive phone to fail like this. QA failure. Only one year warranty and now this issue. Samsung you lost me as a customer unless I get a new phone...
I am not going for samsung anymore, if they don't do anything about that issue, this is not my fault , its company fault... and they need to fix it.. of just go to hell samsung

any issue as i finish my warranty this issue started with other key pad failuires. They are fraud.

Jatin Patel Since the connection is broken it has to be opend up and re-glued. The connection made there melts up when the phone overheats. Since the screen is so huge it just happens.

this is not a fix but thanks for showing the problem. now we know it is a loose wire problem that can be dealt with by applying pressure... so i guess the next step is to open the phone and find a way to hold the loose wire tightly.
Vinnick yep there are videos on how to fix the issue aswell. This is just a video of where the problem is and when pressing there sometimes it fixes the issue temporarraly.

Hermz Anthony Barona As i allready explained. the issue is in the connection so the only way to completely FIX the issue is to remove the display and fix the connection.

As far as I know it is an issue with S6 and S7 but try overheating the top-part of the screen. Play some high end games that overheat the phone and cover the top part so that it won't cool down?
But not sure it'll work on S10+. :)
Got a very slight pink line today, after doing the number dial and trying to reset the rgb. i did as he did in the video and firmly pressed besides the front facing camera, and it dissapeared.

Lol i just desovered before i saw this vid that putting my finger there removes the line. It doewnt disappeqr tho, comes back as soon as i remove my findger... is there any solution for parmanent fix? Maybe tighten a srew or something? I dont want to glue something to replace my fingerpress xD
Ammoo zammo for a permanent fix you have to remove the back panel and put something to keep pressure on the faulty connection. There are videos on how to do it as well. Good luck

This is a Hardware Test and not a fix. If the line shows on the colours, it means that you have a hardware issue that needs repairing :/
MissKatePhoenix If you look at the video you can see that the issue is in the top part of the phone and there are videos on how to fix it. My video just shows where the issue is not how to fix it.

Actually it is and issue eith the connection up top behind the Screen. And when pressing there it somehow restores the connection for a while. The RGB menu thing is only helping If the connection is slightly lagging. It somehow helps a bit in some cases but usually pressing the top of the Screen works. And this video just show's where the issue is. Not how to fix it. This phone is trash
for some actually asking if its legit.

I have like 3 different bricks and I switched to another one and still won't quick. Back to the pink line, does this mean the phone is ay risk?
Genaro S. Jaramillo-Guitton The lines are just a poor connection on the top right half of your screen. If you have warranty samsung will fix your phone. As to the charging perhaps the charge sicket cobnections need to be cleaned on your phone?

This is a physical error with the device. The warranty should be valid. I don't want to prove this unstable error, since the guy who fix this will say, it's not there when he is looking at the phone, simply because he squeezed the phone like this. Actually; same issue was with the S6, too.

spiler This issue is not soft- but hardware. So when the issue returns and you have a valid warranty they will fix the connection.

The connection is held by bad glue that gets loose when your phone overheats. Try not to overheat your phone.

Ammoo zammo the mystery of why it happens and where the issue is is solved. It's a manufacture fault and can be fixed by opening up the phone-remove back panel and put something to the connection to keep it under pressure.
