I don't think there's one single song that affected my taste in music more than this. Its not my #1 favorite song and Thrice isn't my favorite band but hearing this for the first time made me feel a way I haven't felt since.
This song spontaneously popped into my head after not having heard it for nearly 20 years. Mid-2000s was a simpler time. Peace & love to all my millenial brothers & sisters struggling in this economy to attain some semblance of what our parents had. The game was rigged before we ever sat down at the table.
Thank you! I never hear enough credit to him, but his work on this and then the shifting roll patterns in IOTI... made me pay attention to every detail..
Thrice should just buy the rights to this song and re promote it . What has the label that owns this song ever really done for it in the long run ? This song still hits hard . Plenty of people haven’t heard it . It always annoys me when labels own great songs but didn’t push the songs as hard as a pop song that’s totally forgettable and mediocre , not just in music but it’s own respective genre . This song is a great song period but also one of the best rock songs out there .
the more unknown the better trust me if the normies show up they like ruining things my favorite game series is almost ruined by normies but I am fighting back
Just found a copy of this LP with a different cover at Goodwill for $1.99 , got home, listened to a few songs on youtube, pulled out the vinyl to check condition, it's on white wax! Definitely a keeper. ( No I didnt check out the condition before buying, i was in a hurry and the NMint cover indicated to me to the vinyl was in same shape, hopefully! It was. )
this is what my dad listened to in high school, now i'm listening to this in high school. how bittersweet this is.
Same!
I have never felt so old. I heard this on the radio in middle school 👴
My son just sent me this and I'm all like, DUDE!!!
My dad showed them to me and I’m in high school. Lol
And that my friend, is good parenting.

I’m 100% there with you ❤
It's almost hard to believe this was their major label debut.
Whole LP slaps

This album was ahead of it's time and helped define an entire genre of music
yessssss
What other bands would you say are like them
It's even crazier what they came out with after this in just two years time.
True, it could perfectly have been a big hit in 2006 or 2008, even 2023!
2021 still bangin first heard this in Madden 2004 when I was 7, definitely had me hyped..never thought it would be a relatable song!
Here at 32 nearly 20 years later. Glad I picked this album up on a spontaneous buy
My favorite Thrice song, still so good.
Such a great song. Heard it first on Madden. Bought the album instantly. The early 2000s were such good times bros :)
Still a timeless gem. Thrice 4Ever
Still of of my favorite albums.
2020 whole album still slaps.
Lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

Slaps hard
Terahashi's drumwork never fails to give me chills!

The second album I ever bought when it was initially released and loved every track. It’s just perfect in a way I haven’t experienced since.
2nd album i ever bought and holy shit did it broaden my horizons
Going back to these songs make me realize that we were never off track. Great music and message. from a stellar generation!
2024 and this song still doesn’t miss a beat! 🤘🤘

MADDEN!!

The revisited album of this is dope also. Just discovered it
It's cool they revisited it but it was already perfect the way it was
The intro riff reminds of 625 Switch by Def Leppard
Been a long time since my ear would allow me to listen to this again.
2023 and still 🔥🔥🔥 af
