What I'd like to see would be some kind of 'quick release' mount that allows the user to quickly remove the face plate from the mount rather than having to unscrew it, which is sort of a pain, especially if the person moves their radio between their auto and their shack.
I had the same problem but just today received a cup mount phone holder which takes my IC-7100 head easily, so should fit any head. I'll video it tomorrow and upload it.
Ordered one of these Lido extendable Cup Holder Mounts. Very flimsy. Radio head vibrates and makes it difficult to see and operate. Returned within a few days.

I think the LM 803D is just what I need, but I can't find it anywhere. Has it been released yet?
