- A colony of honeybees moved into the bathroom of this camper trailer and I was called to remove them. You can watch the entire removal process here and ask questions in the comments.
Hi. Gary from NM here. We enjoy your vlogs so much and I dropping a comment tonight because you were an inspiration to us today. We saved a swarm of bees today and we were empowered by you and your videos. We found the queen. She was the last bee in the last clump to be examined. I remember the excitement the moment I spotted her. I didn't think I would be able to spot a queen in the masses of bees. I listened to you when you said to let the bees tell you where the queen is. It worked! And this video told me how long to keep her in the queen cage....you said a couple of days. Awesome, I can't believe I (with help from a friend) saved a swarm of bees. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing.
So awesome - I never thought I'd find watching bees to be so relaxing, but you have such a calm voice it's very soothing. xD
Thank you so much! I think that being in a beehive is actually very meditative. You have to stay calm and focused and I'm so glad that comes through in these videos and that you're able to get a sense of that by watching. I appreciate you following along!
@@TexasBeeworks And I'm sitting here with my heart beating out of my chest afraid I won't get to sleep tonight :) Loved the video, but this triggers all my phobias lol.
@@TexasBeeworks Deepest respect but for the rest of the watchers: don't do this at home. Bees are not always that easy.
@@TexasBeeworks What you do seems like a martial art to me. Amazing.
Ikr xd
Thank you for saving the beautiful bees and being so gentle with them. You are educating people too, hopefully they will be less afraid.
Hi

Love the comedic timing when the comb falls off it's own weight.
Side note, I'm happy I found your channel, specially after i saw SO MANY fake accounts that didn't show the full process. Love LOVE your work.
Ericka is AMAZING! I have so many questions--how does she fight the fear response so well?? I work at a desk on my outdoor porch, and I get a few bees that come by to 'map' me, and it's SO HARD not to bat them away even telling myself that they don't want to hurt me. I watched in awe as Ericka was working with bees buzzing all around her in a really confined space and she didn't once lose her cool and start swatting at them or screaming--how the heck does she DO that?? I just hear the buzz and I stiffen, even though if a bee gets into my house I immediately go into 'rescue mode' and get them outside again, so I don't move to kill them, but MAN, the fear response is brutal to deal with!
The calm voice narration and the detail explanation of every action made is the best!
Beekeeping meets ASMR lol

BEE ASMR yay
It was really calming indeed. Until 10:05 :D
I mean just now I'm just so interested in 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝 my sister has an app about 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝 and I think I'm going to take the phone 😅
asmr is the worst change my mind
I watch a lot bee keepers and you are my favorite, I call you the bee whisperer. You are definitely different than everyone else and the bees 🐝 know it 💕🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝
You are very good at what you do both in protection of the Bee's and explaining the process with a calm voice. I've worked around Bee's many times and they just know that I mean them no harm. Thank you for proving me right. They are wonderful and good at their job as well.
Well done Erica
Your powers of observation, understanding and gentleness make you a Master Beekeeper.
Hooray!
I love what you do. I own a beekeeping store in Battleground Washington and I often share your videos
You have your own special way of caring for the bees. Wonderful to see.
Another Great rescue Erika! I just love watching you work bees, I try to remember how smooth you are with them when I’m working my bees. I have much practicing to do :). I’d love to see more videos from you as it’s so relaxing and happy to watch you with the bees! This was a great surprise for today! Thank you!
Thank you! If you’re just starting to do bee removals, I always suggest starting with water meter boxes. They’re easy to access and people tend to notice soon after the bees move in which always makes the removal process easier. Best wishes to you and your bees!
What is the best course of action if the bee’s for some reason become aggressive and/or begin stinging you? What’s the best way to handle something like that so you don’t upset them even more?
I think maybe im the first person to notice this, but if you listen closely and pay attention, the person that narrates this has a voice that seems really relaxed.
You are mesmerizing! I really believe in what you do and you do it with such grace and kindness. Please consider making a two hour documentary of your work and experiences. I know it will be a huge success! I become so calm and relaxed watching your videos. Thank you for caring so much for these important little creatures.
They aren't that important
I think maybe im the first person to notice this, but if you listen closely and pay attention, the person that narrates this has a voice that seems really relaxed.

Brilliant! Your calming nature is perfectly suited to your vocation. Brightest Blessings
Hi, you are very brave touching bees without any protection and you inspired me to start my own beekeeping family
It's so satisfying when she scoops those adorable bees
you're here!
I have a camper and this is basically my worst nightmare. Sorry! I am so impressed with what you do though! Thank you for doing this important work.
You can have free honey. I hope bees move into the camper I live in so my garden gets pollinated and I can borrow some of their honey..
Thank you for all you do to save the bees as well as educate all of us!
you are 1 of few people who can actually wear a 80s side ponytail..well done..I love your ASMR videos..or..sometime..keep up the good work
I find this fascinating Thank you as someone who is allergic to Bees/Wasps due mostly to the pollen they collect but still understands their importance I appreciate people like you who work to remove and relocate them
Beautiful voice, beautiful work, beautiful human, beautiful woman 😍
So fascinating. I absolutely love watching these bee hives be saved. 💛
I think the reason she never get stung is because her voice is so soothing.
Nope
I find myself smiling unconsciously throughout these delicious videos, and coming to love this heroic young woman.
Thank you Erica your love and respect for the bees as you remove the hive to a safer location
Erika you are just a beautiful soul. Bless you honey! Greetings from Aus 💚⚘
Amazing removal. I'm wanting to learn about beekeeping and I'm thinking about putting a hive on my 2.5 acres in Bexar county. I have so much to learn. Thanks for the videos, they are very helpful and also fun to watch.
I wonder how many people are going to mispronounce Bexar.
@@xSpcManSpiffx I can't even begin to explain how funny this is
You do this with your hair done 😅… girl… You the goat 🐐… Thanks for saving bees 🐝… I use honey 🍯 every day… so I appreciate you❤💯
We prayed for our bees and now I see God send you the Angel of Bees to help them and your videos make me cry. Tears of joy! Tears of love because the bees are good 👍 and Good things are from God ! Please let us know about your videos and we will subscribe and watch!
I love these videos and I love how you don’t hurt the bees 🐝
You have a gift, this is so cool.
peopl have the gall to say beekeepers dont actually care for their bees but you are so slow and gentle with them
Your voice is so soothing and these videos are very relaxing. I could fall asleep to "the gentle bees followed the bridge into their new hive" and "another great day of saving the bees"
Next level asmr , taking something that is usually hectic and chaotic and making it relaxing as hell.
What is your stance on people vacuuming bees and reconstitution the wax for the bees to use when rebuilding a hive. Seems like that would be a little unsettling for the bees. I love watch how respectful you are during a bee removal. You are so gentle with the bees.
Love watching your work ❤️ saving the bees
Just found these videos and I'm happy I did. They're very interesting and very relaxing. Now I know what I'll be watching when I need to relax. Maybe I'll even look into getting into bee keeping. Maybe I'll even acquire the knowledge needed to start rescuing hives near me. I love the tactics you use to remove the bees. It shows your skill.
Thank you for finally answering the question that i always wonder -what happen to the stragglers bees that was left behind everytime there is removal or relocating nest happen. Thank you for always be gentle with them. I hope someday we got to see a video when u deal with agressive colony. I really wanna see how you handle it.
They can follow thanks to the pheromones or finding a new hive
I love seeing the natural formation of the comb, so beautiful
I have always been allergic to bee stings but I love that you are saving all of these hives!
It's so satisfying watching you work! Thank you for all that you do.
Thanks for the great video, Erika!
I just love these videos, you have such affinity and empathy for the bees.
It's great when you can do this with your feet on the ground instead of a ladder with the sun in your eyes. Perfect size combs too.
I really don’t take high ladder work. Especially since I work alone. I just had a friend fall and break his leg really bad during a removal. 85k in hospital bills and he’s unable to work for 8 months. There are plenty of bees closer to the ground that need someone to give them a new place to live.
85k in medical bills for a broken leg... America is madness. That would be free where I live
@@TexasBeeworks 85k holy shit. Wtf America.
@@TexasBeeworks Hope your friend is okay and recovers well.
@@C0D97 True. I just don't understand why it costs so much. If I may ask, where are you from?
I'm from a third-world country but thankfully we have mandatory health program from the goverment (we pay around 8 USD/person/month). My mother broke her knee and hip, and all the surgeries and the following therapies are free using this program.
Bee whisperer! And soothing voice.
You could use modified frames to place your comb in for a perfect fit if you would want it, you could use bolts and nuts that you could twist using your hand that lower or higher the top plank of the frame for that perfect fit.
There is no one like you mam XOX you are soo precious! My heart beats soo hard for you...😇
Outstanding! I’m a new sub, and this is a wonderful example of a successful removal. I’m learning more with every video.
This is absolutely fascinating, love learning new stuff about bees, you are so good to them!
:Another great day of saving the bees!" Outstanding work.
Wow, this video read my mind. I searched online why you used smoke on bees and while I was reading why you explained it exactly how I read it.
The bees are beautiful I wish that I had that braveness
I would love to see some videos of what she does with the bees when she takes them to the aviary. I find her work very interesting…to watch lol
🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝I lived in a camper for many years and know that had to bee fun! Happy New Year!!
It was SUCH a cool retro camper! It was really fun to spend the afternoon in the there... especially with the AC on (this was September 7 in Texas)! MANY thanks to the nice owners who left everything running for me in there!
@@TexasBeeworks good thing becuase it doesn't take long to warm up in those things in the summer time with no AC.😉
Love your videos Mrs.Bee
I find your videos absolutely fascinating!! You are so amazing with the bees. Love watching you work ❤
I’m amazed of your work and enjoy watching your videos, on all of your media platforms. Great job!
When the bees chew thru the rubber band I bet a few of them get a surprising little slap!
You are so brave and it is a pleasure to watch you work.
Love it ❤️ Great job as always. Thanks for all your hard work! 🍀
Now that was luck, you didn't even have to cut comb! Great job!!!
I know! I got really lucky with that comb size! I always bring medium and deep frames with me for every removal and use whichever one best suits the hive. There's no better feeling when the comb fits perfectly into your frames... except for maybe finding the queen. ;)
15 to 20,000 Bees is a great Start to rebuilding a Bee Population
You are so calm and wonderful….. How often do you get stung? Ps
I love 🐝 bees, I’m so glad that I found you.
Amazing! You have a very calming voice. So relaxing!
As I waited for you to answer my question of what happens to the bees that do not get ib the new home, I kept watching your films. At last, I have an answer. I am glad they can move to their neighbors and have a new home there LOVE HOBEY BEES
Love your films.
They can't do that they die
She would be so gentle when changing diapers!
Nice cut out!
I see you are a fan of the hybrid hive tool too! :)
The best hive tool is always the one that works well for you... but these are my absolute favorite. They’re all I use and I’m happy to hear you’re a fan of them too. I think the merits of having having both the scraper and hook make it superior to all other hive tools I’ve tried. I also really like the heavy weight of it-it gives me that feeling you get when you pick up a nice piece of silverware or a good pen. I always encourage people to try them and I often end up happily giving my hive tool away at the end of a private lesson because folks like them so much. I think we’ll start to see them become more popular and hopefully big beekeeping suppliers like Mann Lake will start to carry them.
@@TexasBeeworks I always felt the scraper tool and the Italian hive tool each did one job well, but not both!
The scraper is great for prying boxes apart as they are typically sharper. The scraper is great for some unique bending situations and scraping wax.
The Italian hive tool is my friend during inspections and can pry a frame up, but they usually come dull and they aren't great for separating boxes.
This year I transitioned to the hybrid tool after experimenting with one last season. I really appreciate not having to switch between the two during inspections at the very least. :)
FYI - Big improvement in video quality between this and the compost bin. Both are great, but I see you're developing your methodology for these. I like the educational breaks in the middle!
You’re a wonderful human being!
I just found your channel and it’s amazing
Wow that is fascinating, I had no idea a bee without a hive can join another colony, I never thought that would even be possible, I would have thought the new bees would kill the bee without a hive on site, insects are so fascinating
I love watching these videos, but I have a thing about buzzing sound. It's fine if I'm listening in stereo, but I just put headphones on as a bee buzzed right pass the microphone and it gave me shivers!
This was freakin cool! I'm just amazed watching this. Good job again!
Amazing what you do. Can't believe they sting you.
God, I love these video. Need more!
Thank you for posting! This was great I love watching you save the bees!
Well done you. You really did wait till as many had gone into the travel hive as possible. I only saw one in the last shot. Happy new year to you guys and the doggies 🤩
Thank you so much ! I always try my best to get as many bees as possible and some colonies are easier than others. Happy new year!
Love your spirit. Was wondering if you could show a bracket after the bees have secured the comb to the frame and after they have removed the rubber bands. Thx
watching you use your hands gives me extreme anxiety 😅 I would pass out just by the sound of all of the lil buzzes everywhere lmao
She must be a Disney Princess
Thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos! I really enjoy them :)
Thank you for your videos!!
Your awesome. Your the Bee Wisper ♥️♥️😊👍
I just love your work
Your awesome your so cool and I think the bees know that so they don’t sting you ❤
Amazing 🤩! So inspiring.
Great job 👏 💪💗
Every time I watch your videos I start hearing "Imma Bee, Imma Bee, Imma Imma Imma Bee".
“Send the bees love”
Hi jac
These videos make me itch like crazy, but I can’t stop watching them 😂
Best hair in the bee game.
You are awesome, happy new year!
Thank you! Happy New Year!
Another great day of saving the bees lol😘
We love the bees!
I worked for a bee/pest control in Florida and Pennsylvania and i hated killing bee hives.
"...they didn't even seem to mind as I sat and observed their Bee-havior."
Or maybe go full bore with Bee-hive-ior
This is so fascinating.
You are so awesome.
Dear Erika, I would like to ask you for a huge favor. Could you please record the material with your device horizontally and not vertically? When watching the video is smaller. How ever I turn my device it becomes vertical and very small which leads to a poor visualization.
Thank you
11:38 im so sad for the bees left behind :(
