Wow, what a honor this must of been for you Andy to interview the Reverend Billy F. Gibbons in person. Grew up on ZZtop and saw them twice in a 3 month period in 1980, they were that great. Congrats and Billy is looking good!
This is one the best interviews I have ever watched it was great Mr. Gibbens Is one intelligent dude i could listen to talk or play all day.....Roland J Gutierrez from Magdalena New Mexico usa.
Two classics in the music industry. Well done on the interview. Billy was around and in his prime when MTV started. "Sharp Dressed Man", " Gimme all your Loving" "Tube Snake Boogie", "Pearl Necklace" great Blues!
I know, it’s like Billy just knew that people gonna want more of this ! Also, check out the album sleeve front. Nothing wild, like most albums of the day. Just a photograph of Pearly Gates.
Good Afternoon Thomann's Guitars & basses, thanks for this documentary/vidéo.....good surprise.....Hello Billy you are my old friend.........i 'm also fan many many groups music.....BLUES rythm and blues and rock and jazz and country
No question that this 69 year old legend oozes more genuine cool from his toes than nearly every other "celebrity" out there, musician or otherwose - especially those born in the last 30 or so years. I can't even dream about being as cool as Billy G. if I ever reach his age. And sure as hell I won't be as sharply dressed. Rock on forever brotha....
Not gonna lie... I'm jealous :-) Billy Gibbons is one of the coolest guitarists ever and just so cool as a person too. Really enjoyed the interview, thank you for posting this!
Ohh Andy wasn't that nervous. That's his british humour and I love him for that. Lukas, our camera guy nearly laughed out loud when Andy told burger king with that dumb face. :-D //cheers, Kris
We have been advised that the Magnatone stereo vibrato has been brought back for the service of mankind. Don't know about you all, but I am going to have to rustle up some more side work.
Legen wait for it DARY! Great interview. And you had the opportunity to make a backstage delivery to a ZZ TOP gig - that`s something to tell your grandchildren one day- BTW Billy has such a pleasant voice - he could recite a telephone book and I would listen to it for hours.
Is Bill Lee miss speaking of the Hammond B3 organ player Mike Flanagan or does he mean Mike Finnegan because there have been some great B3 organ players in the day my top three are Gregg Allman Bobby Whitlock Booker TAnd number four would be mike Finnegan who has played on a lot of records Dave Mason Les Dudek and on and on
I'm gonna find me a blonde haired mama, In a Jeep with a German Shepherd by her side. I'm gonna find me a blonde haired mama, With boots and a forty-four on her side. And if I ain't too high or used up, I'll have her take me for a groovy little hippie ride.
He's just so relaxed, articulate and clearly intelligent. A new ZZ Top album wouldn't go astray, either....
A living Legend of a man.
I grew up and started playing guitar whit ZZ Top tunes.
Legend get thrown around a lot, but the Rev is a true legend 🤟🏻

What knowledge and endurance he and his band has!
Billy Gibbons really is a musicologist and Southern Gentleman. Can’t wait to see ZZ Top on their 50th anniversary tour! Thanks for sharing! 🤙🏻😎🎸🎼
What a likeable gentleman he is.
It is physically impossible for anyone to be cooler than Reverend Willie G.

Congrats Andy I think this the best interview of BG that I've ever seen ! Cheers !
I love you Billy. Your are my guitar hero.
Wow! He really is a living legend. Sounds like a thoroughly nice chap too. That guitar playing and tone!!!! That harmonica sound!!!! Blimey!
There a guitar rig rundown with his tech Elwood (now the bassist) that reveals that Billy uses very light strings and a metal guitar tone.
Billy is awesome.
Not gonna lie... I'm jealous :-) Billy Gibbons is one of the coolest guitarists ever and just so cool as a person too. Really enjoyed the interview, thank you for posting this!

Reverend Wille G ? A man that seems very cool calm and happy to sit talk, play and show that he is unfazed even after 50 years of Cruising in the Top.

@@ThomannsGuitarsBasses Burger King played with BBQue, two great forgotten bluesmen 😉
I found very funny
I thought it was terribly disrespectful to vintage blues players. Not funny at all.
Man, I was hoping to hear the Magnatone Super Fifteen demo.
@Richard Driskill I just found out ZZ Top is coming to Kalamazoo Wing's Stadium. Hope I can afford the tickets.
@Richard Driskill Hopefully they will have some good prices for Kalamazoo. Part of the pricing goes with the venue and demographics of the area.
