This is a super video! Thanks so much for putting this together, Mike. I need to do this weekend... Hoping I can find a direct replacement for my thermostat, but if not, it looks like a reasonably priced one could be obtained from Amazon.
Did the repair work? My sensor is reading too high as well, but it is also not turning off when it goes beyond its set temp. Think it's the sensor... ? Or maybe control board?
AQUACAL doesn’t sell the og part the heater? Mines take for ever to get to the set temperature. Example it shows 82 or 84 and i set it for 89 or 90. Hot water is coming out but not moving the temperature on display. My salt generator will show the actual temp 89 or 90.
Thank you! I was able to fix my heater by following these steps…this is the best video on this topic for AquaCal heaters.
Appreciate you watching, glad it helped! Pretty straight forward and simple for a diy job.
Thanks for taking the time to post this.
Glad it was helpful!

Good luck!
Just ordered my sensor too. Thanks for the video. I know my pool isn’t 104 degrees as it says now . :-)
This should fix it... mine was doing the same thing.

The repair worked for me. Heater kicks on and off based on set temp.
Worked here as well! Video was a big help. 🙏
Great to hear. I'm glad it was helpful!

Sounds like a bad sensor to me.
@@MikeZimmermanOfficial I'll order one and replace it. Thanks
