Yeah - HHs are pretty buggy. If you resurrect with the ankh on a level where you have a HH, you get a second one in the next level. This is exploitable and is the basis for Kirbywarp (see ua-cam.com/video/j1ugNt11JBY/v-deo.html)
It would be absolute hell, but... would this be possible to do with the Udjat Eye (the item version that can fall on the floor when you open the chest and stomp an enemy at the same time), or can hired hands not carry them between floors?
