He sang about flight 93 the hero’s he mentioned. Was the people on that flight learned about the towers after 93 got taken over. The passengers decided to fight back against the high jackers. They realized no matter what they were all doomed. So they intervened causing the plane to crash in a Pennsylvania field. So sad but flight 93 was full of heroes that day.
He has another poient song called The 22 which is told from the perspective of a struggling veteran. Daryl Worley is a huge supporter of our veterans as well. This song hit hard when it was released. BP1, you are correct. There were so many heroes that day civilians, first responders, and military alike. Flight 93 those passengers fought back taking it down in a rural field instead of a densely populated area. And yes inside the towers there are a few accounts of heroism but there had to be countless more. One was a British American Army veteran. He served in combat for both countries. When the first attack happened at the World Trade Center he was already working as a security expert at Morgan Stanley. He devised an evacuation plan in case of another terrorist attack on the towers. On that day he gathered groups of people and led them down the staircase saving hundreds He would sing Welsh folk songs so they could follow him through the smoke. He was last seen heading back up the stairs when the tower came down. His body was never recovered.
I will NEVER forget, most of us won't those of us around anyway. Those of us who lost loved ones on or in the aftermath of 9/11 can't forget. I feel as though it is being forgotten, put on the back burner. Flight 93, heroes all. I know if given more time every one of those planes would have been taken back by the passengers/crew! Americans stand strong and fight together when we need to. I know they ALL would have flubbed the plan. Me and Chuey got to go ugly cry now...................... Ernest, we love you and miss you so much. I hope you found peace.
Another great suggestion Amanda. Anyone 23 years old or younger will never relate directly to the emotions felt by Americans and others around the world on that day. They may know some of the details, but it's never going to be a memory. Of course the same can be said for those of us too young to remember WWII. For some, Vietnam or Korea. And Desert Storm. Things like that tend to cause people to look at life differently and take less for granted. Great reaction as always guys.- Hawk
May I suggest Riding With Private Malone, by David Ball. It wasn't written about 9/11, but it was released at about that same time. Because of the subject matter, in the lyrics, I've always broken down when hearing it. It's not just the Afghanistan and Iraq Veterans that matter. Our military, in general, means a lot.

His song “I Just Came Back From A War” is really great too
The Heros who went down in that Pennsylvania Field were the passengers and crew of United Flight 93 headed for DC the Capital or the White House.

The title you read, “I Miss My Friend”, is my favorite song of his. It would be great to see you all react to it! 😊

Went and read the lyrics afterwards and they are very good.

He has a really great song “I Just Came Back From A War” that is very poignant
Try another introduction to country music....view Chris Stapleton TENNESSEE WHISKEY...country rock. Please play and enjoy!
You need to watch Darrell Worleys "I just came back from a war"
I’ve heard it said that Country music is an acquired taste. I have to agree…because I didn’t like country music when I was young. 🙂
You guys clearly don’t get it. Sad. 😢
