I bought a 1977 Silverado brand new, great truck in every respect but hard on the gas tank. Names suggested all based on the color are "Butterscotch"...."Mustie" short for mustard...."Ol' Yeller"........
I held a poll on my Instagram and the winner was DALE! If you’re not following over there, you’ll get some behind the scenes stuff! Thanks for the support and great name suggestions!
Yea finding a place to put the gopro is kinda tuff. I use the clamp attachment and use the wing vent or my seat becuase i have the holes for a racing harness in my seats. I have been daily driving those trucks for over 14yrs and they are good solid trucks, i habe put them through hell and not only do those old trucks hold up but contrary to popular belief those old engines take an abuse and keep going and trust me i have beat the hell out of my old engines and put some stress on them. The bench seat takes up alot of room. And i need the leg room so on my keepers i swap out for a set of bucket seats and have some sort of console for my drinks.
That is funny that you mention the truck getting attention. I bought my 84 Scottsdale K 20 last September, and right after I paid the guy and left with it I stopped down the road from his house to fill it up with gas and there was a gentleman at the gas station that was looking at it and commenting on it. I knew right then that I was already onto something. Lol
Olde Carr Guy I can’t decide between this a 77 Chevy c20 Cheyenne or a 1978 ford f100 not many f100 out there which looks better which should I go with
Keep the Name "Dale" its a perfect fit....thats my dad's name and I grew up working on those old trucks and plus my name is Jason Dale and that's just a good name
i got a 75 just like yours but its the very basic verson and was hoping you would know where i can get a power steering instal kit since mine did not come with power steering
There should be a ton of these old square body trucks in junk yards. You'll likely need a donor truck to get the P/S pump, brackets, hoses and steering box. Hope this helps!
Man, I love a nice square body. Whatever happened to the old blue truck you guys used to have back in the day? The one my old Ranger got an up close look at, lol.
Oh my! I remember that! What an awesome weekend, from what I remember! I have no idea where that truck is! Lost track of it after dad sold it to Ricky Marshall!
Awesome old truck! I hope it does well for you, I've had pretty good luck with my GM stuff so far. By the way I left you another fairly important comment/response in your vid about the Cordoba dyno numbers. Just wanted to make sure you got it. I was wrong about something and wanted to clarify it.
In Brazil, Chevrolet pickups had their own design, different from models manufactured in the USA. I have a 1981 Chevrolet Veraneio station wagon that is derived from the C10 pickup trucks, with very simple and resistant mechanics. Watch the video: ua-cam.com/video/UrK0z3tTOPs/v-deo.html

I might have access to a “period correct” sliding back window for that thing. I’ll check it out this weekend
Awesome! Old trucks need a slider!
I had an 83 k5 blazer and the gauges in your truck look very similar.
Exact same besides trim!
I would call it squeeze , cause of small cab lol
Nice Rene! Thanks

Is the headliner missing,or is that the way they came?
Only the Silverado trim level came with a headliner! I think! Either way mine didn’t come with one!

I got it bro! No big deal! Thanks for keeping in the chat!
I enjoyed😁🇨🇦
Where'd ya get the seat cover, and how do ya like it?
Seat cover was on it when I bought the truck! The seat is in need of refurbishment!
Since it's called Dale and not Old Yeller, you can paint it if you want.
The original paint stays!
