Back then, i did not like Kanye West. I thought he was an arrogant prick, and i took no interest in anything he did. NOW I'm late to the party because I've gained respect for him because he speaks his mind with no filter, and i like folks like that. I've been playing his past albums and performances, and im consistently blown away by his work because it's all new to me! I see now why he is so big. He definitely has taken hip hop to a level that I've never seen before.

That not only represents its time and the beautiful culture (ESPECIALLY in Chicago) but also the actual REALNESS behind it all (no lip singing, real people playing the music, and dancers who really are apart or at least represent the storyline being preformed. aka i freaking miss Kanye!! Historically, artists would get on the field to perform with HBCU bands.... so if we're being honest, The HBCU community started this trend not the other way around.
