More BRENDON URIE! You desperately need to react to the trilogy but all in ONE video, it'll make it SO MUCH BETTER Say Amen > This is Gospel > Emperor's New Clothes
I've seen like 15 reactions to this song and not one person ever commented how the title Molly fits in cleverly with the chorus.. hard pill to swallow...
He has said in an interview that the hard part wasn't the decision to break up. He'd do it the same all over again. The hard part is what comes after, that the feelings remain and he fights with himself over the decision even though he knows it's correct and he'd do it again.
he went because he loved her so much he just wanted to see her happy, nomatter how much it killed him inside she wanted him to be there and if that means seeing the love of his life with another man but happy, it's worth that pain just for one last day. He went to the wedding simply to make sure her day was perfect, shows how much you truly love someone if you are willing to go through that just to make her have the perfect day.
BRUH you're missing out on Brendon Urie , he's a one man band of ''PANIC AT THE DISCO'' if you never heard of it .. his vocals are simply the best , let's get it bro
His covers of Bohemian Rhapsody for the AMAs or Movin' Out for Billy Joe's Kennedy Center Honors puts Urie at all-time great levels (not to mention the vocal diversity of his 15 years of music).
Yes, Las Vegas band Panic at the Disco are Huge & lead singer, Brendon Urie is an amazing artist & musician. If you never heard them, check them out! They’ve been together for a long ass time & tour all over. Their Live music is slammin’ , as Pres Obama watched Panic at the Disco & Urie play At the Kennedy Ctr Honors, Billy Joel tribute. ☮️
Yup, I'm about to be in the same position. Sucks, but I'd rather hurt myself than disappoint her by not being there. Plus who knows maybe it provides some closure.
I love the realization at 5:50. I was waiting for it, cuz the first time I heard the song I only listened to it and knew that he was talking about being broke up with a woman. I watched the video months later and was stricken by the premise of the video and the fact that he makes you think it's HIS wedding right up until you see the bride walk past him towards the alter and another man. Beautiful song and music video.
I got the two part edition of this sentiment. I “loved” and lost, and heard this song for the first time in like 2018. Then I really loved, and heard it again, and it hit me like never before
That one hit hard personally. Over a decade separated and i still can't fully move on. As humans many of our biggest faults are we never move passed what can't be undone. A psychologist's wet dream but an individual's never ending nightmare.
this music video by lil dicky meant a lot to me in a way and even though i can’t fully relate to all the lyrics like putting them second to rap or anything for that matter etc, i do get the feeling of having such a hard time getting over that one person who was very special to you. and you’re right if you’re in that situation please don’t ever go to that wedding even if you think you’re over them because in most cases than not it’ll bring up sad memories.
Brendon 100% makes this song for me. I genuinely don't think he gets enough credit, because his band's biggest fans are like teenage / 20something girls, but honestly he has an incredibly voice and stage presence, his cover of bohemian rapsody is nuts.
Lil dicky said in an interview shortly after releasing this song that he is still good friends with Molly, and she did enjoy the song but it is 100% a true story... he was in love with her but his career was starting to get in the way, so she walked away and this was the outcome.
His tv show includes some of the stuff from the song like when he says they would listen and laugh to her using auto tune. Both of which are based on his real life.
Love all the Lil Dicky reactions, been a huge fan of his since his first album came out and I never get sick of listening to all of his music! Happy to see someone not just write him off cause he’s goofy and doesn’t just try to flex like every other rapper cause he is one of the best! 🙌🏼
There was a verse where he said "he always puts her second to rap", so i gues someday she gave him an ultimatum and he decided to take rap. But he still loves her and then he see's another man having what he could have had. +MrLboyd Reacts
I love the song and the reaction. I can also say I have been where he was in the song. I actually still have some photos and voice messages from her and I just cant delete then, I play them over and over again like if she was still here by my side. I torture myself by doing so but I cant stop myself, I want her back in my life and this is as close as I will probably ever get.
LD has a tv show that came out early 2020 roughly based on his life and his goings on, and towards the end of the first season there are quite a few callbacks to this song. Fucking AMAZING show if you ever want to take the time to watch it, it's called "Dave" and it's on Hulu.
@@gokuss15 I was referring to the fact that he just reacted to Panic At the Disco - Death of a Bachelor right before this, and Brendon DEFINITELY has Sinatra vibes in that.
Ill say this because there is something so familiar to me with this song. I dated this girl for a few years, we were kids in love for the first time. We learned a lot from each other, ways to laugh, navigate life, be upset at another person you loved, ways to be an adult in this world. Sadly, for her that didn't include me in the romantic sense after years of dating. It hurt so damn much, I thought I would lose myself in my own head. We always remained friends, which I thought was cool, though admittedly I still loved her. It hurt when she got with other people, it hurt when she told me she was happy with someone, it hurt when she invited me to her engagement party, it hurt when I watched her get married. I never thought she intentionally tried to hurt me, but it hurt. As I got older and moved on to my now fiancé of nearly ten years, I understood that to her she had a spot in her heart that I would always occupy, and that was someone that truly cared about her being happy, someone that even in unideal circumstances she still cared about how I felt, she truly saw me as someone that was worth hanging onto, in her own way. Love is a bit more fluid than holding onto the person you want to date, there are people that in the end you just want to be proud of you. I know she loved me and I felt happy she did, and I learned how to be happy for her.
I always was able to relate to this specific song. Being someone who’s mentally can not remember much of anything aside from work which requires little mental capacity to remember how to do right. I did watch someone I love marry to someone else a few years back and even tho I’ve moved on this specific song hit pretty hard at the time and was one of those “listen to it with once or when drunk” type songs. I love this song. But also can’t listen to it much.
The girl I had my first real relationship with, lost my virginity to, and had the most fun with, is still (so far at least) the love of my life. I'm not actively *in* love with her, but she'll always be deeply important to me. Unfortunately (in some ways) we're still very good friends, because we were too important to each other to cut each other out completely. It's a good platonic friendship, and I like what we have, but this video speaks to me as I worry about the day she'll get married as I'm confident I'll be invited. The whole scenario gives me a queasy feeling, because although I'll be happy for her, I'll feel a level of sadness. I've never regretted breaking up with her. It was the right decision at that time. What pains me, is that I feel we were the right people for each other at the wrong time in our lives, and that's something you can't change. Until I meet someone that blows her out of the water (which is a pretty big ask), I fear I'll never be able to shake the wonder of what could have been. Even then, it may not replace it, but rather sit alongside.
This is quickly becoming my favorite channel on youtube. Keep it up bro and please check out motionless in white another life and the band dayseeker songs burial plot and sleeptalk. Amazing songs
"Why would you even go to that wedding". He loves her bro, he wants to support her even if its not with him. I'll be going to the love of my lifes wedding this year, im choking up writing this honestly, but I wanna be there for her like shes been there for me. I relate to this song so much. Me and her didnt work out, but shes still the best friend ive ever had (and im hers) so im not gonna just push her out if my life.
Something very similar happened to me in my personal life. Part of me wanted to go, because that would be the last time I would see her, but I opted not to. She called me a week later disappointed I didn’t come. I told her there was no way I was going to watch her marry someone else.
I will keep requesting Truman until it’s done 😂 lmao. No one reacts to it and personally it’s in my top 5 of LD songs. Another great reaction man, and if you don’t do Truman I understand I just appreciate you going on this LD journey, he’s in my top 5 favorite rappers

Much Love dude! Found your channel a few days ago, been watching all of your reactions since! Keep them coming, I would request based off of Brendan Urie being in this song, that you react to "Brendan Urie's best live vocals" by pop crush.
He had to choose between a career in rap or the girl he loved. It was a difficult choice but he had to choose. This is his way of saying goodbye in a way.
I think another thing not expressed, especially with ex's that were everything to you. Is that unless you get some resolution to those feelings they go on forever. So in the case of this wedding, he went to it for closure, he was breaking his own heart to watch all of that and see things moving forward without him, but the lyrics from Brendon say it all, he was choosing the hard road, to come there and accept things were over forever so they could both move forward. Lil Dicky/Dave did what he needed to do so he wouldn't be living in the past, always thinking of the woman he loved, but also not being someone from HER past who was always trying to hold onto something that was long gone by the point of the video.
He went because they were still friends. He would rather have her in his life as a friend than not at all. It goes deeper into it in his show. And maybe he thought going to that wedding would be therapeutic in some way, cathartic. Maybe help him close that romantic chapter and accept her for who she is now instead of holding on to a romanticized concept of her. I see it as similar to exposure therapy. You're afraid of cockroaches, so you bathe in them, facing your fear in hopes of defeating that fear, overcoming it.
People are always like why u gon do this to yourself? Im just like you never loved someone enough that no matter how much it hurts u need the closure to see them sent off with whoever the plan to spend their life with. Its closure not just for u but the both of you.
Taeyang - wedding dress. It's a Kpop song (I know you've seen a few videos that you've reacted to in that genre), but the song and the aesthetic I think you'd really like (especially as a photographer). Love the content man. Looking forward to the future videos!
