I love this soft side of SYTTD. The brides are able to open up completely to the consultants about their insecurities and whatnot. The consultants turns that energy into a realm of positivity and I am HERE FOR IT.
I've never seen any woman, standard or plus size, wear an off-shoulder dress so well. They are very challenging and flatter almost no one. But Molly knocked that thing out of the park.
@Calpurnia L I absolutely disagree. Obesity kills. It's not a doctors job to lie and pretend that obesity is healthy. It's not. There is a right and a wrong way of getting that information across and from what the woman says, we have no idea if it was done in the right way or not. But when I was extremely underweight, I had a similar conversation with my doctor and it was a shock and horrendous to hear but I needed to hear it. Doctors who address those issues should not be fired, it's their damn jobs. If someone is doing something to their body, abusing medicine, abusing drugs, abusing alcohol, smoking, under eating, over eating, a doctor is not the person who should be ignoring those habits. This doesn't mean that the lady in question shouldn't love herself and feel absolutely beautiful but we need to detach the body positive movement from the health movement. They're two separate things. Shaming overweight women into losing weight doesn't help the underlying issues but at the same time, it is unhealthy to be obese. It's one thing for strangers who don't know this lady to give their twopence worth on her body and whether she is healthy but if her doctor is saying this to her, they're more than qualified to know if she's healthy or not.
I like this version of the show because it gives a somewhat deeper insight to what is sort of going on, and an undrestanding of the concern behind a comment that perhaps may be seen as inconsiderate otherwise. Specially if the bride is insecure and to some extent expect a disappointment, you certainly would like to avoid that if a relative or friend.
Oh good, I thought that about the Bridal Consultant the with the "Buzz Cut"; (who by the way,l ooks Great, not everyone can pull off that kind of hair cut) Yes...I too noticed how the Consultant really does Speak with her Hands & Finger's. I believe that is her way of really describing & getting her point across to all! 😊 Love the whole Program, I am "binge watching"it! 💕 Love, Love, Love...
I think she has the same skin condition in her arms as me! I've decided they are my galaxy arms because the little red dots that cover my arms looks like stars, it all about perception 😊

My Sis and I also have keratosis although she gets red pinprick skin and I am more plucked chicken 🙈 but I unconsciously scratch and pick and then scar my skin, and it only seems to be getting worse the older I get. I love the positive way of looking at it though, thanks for sharing x

Update for anyone interested: Mollie and her fiancee hit a rough patch and mutually decided to break up. She has a TikTok in which she explains her fiancee realised that he was gay. She seems to be doing fine and is happy where her life is now.

@@evie7671 I had a bad experience with the dress shop owner/consultant because at the beginning of my appointment she had this demeanor that said I'm too busy for this, almost like I was waisting her time. She didn't talk to me about my fiance or wedding or dresses. When I was looking for dresses she kept commenting on my shape and saying this style or that style will look awful on me. She just made me feel bad and rushed me through my appointment. After trying on 3 dresses she was visibly frustrated and so I literally just picked the least ugly dress out of the ones I tried on and left. If I could do it over again I would have just left the store!!
Breanna Sosa-Lopez - I'm so sorry! I had the same thing b/c I'm so short. I did leave& almost gave up. I'm blessed, my husband took me & made me try on tons of dresses till I found the right one. I loved it.
I don't like when they don't show what they pick or end on it without a dress. It's like a story book with pages torn out. I love these ladies. It's my favorite of all of them.
I felt the roller coaster part, I actually started my weightloss journey 2 years ago so I could fit on roller coasters. Now I can ride every coaster at Dollywood 🥰 (and hopefully the other parks too)
I am not plus-sized anymore, but I swear I have considered visiting the ladies' shop to find a dress! They are so wonderful and supportive, very uplifting. My wedding isn't until 2023, but the dress search has already begun.

Just posted something about the size of theatre seats on FB the other day. They are TINY, installed in an age where people were just smaller in general on average. Even when I wasn't plus-size I had discomfort in some of those seats.
The only movie theater in the city here has huge recliners for viewers; no small seats, just the recliners. Most popular place in town--except for everyone having to practice "social dissonance" (deliberate use of the word) right now. My home city in Michigan has two movie theaters that also use nothing but recliners, and everyone there loves going to the movies because of the comfortable seats.
Has anyone noticed all curvy girls have insanely gorgeous and angelic faces. I never see such beautiful facial features on skinny girls. It seems that the beautiful ones keep their focus on their face and not body and the plain ones go to any length to keep a good body cause thats the only thing they can change. Regardless everyone has a right to stay happy in whatever age or body they have

I have it too- it’s called keratosis pilaris! It’s a form of eczema. If you do ever want to change it, glycolic acid lotions help :)
