In Ghana, we often focus on individual character ('Ankasa Suban') as if having a good mind is something that can simply be purchased like a product in a shop. However, people do not just wake up one day and decide to be good-character is shaped by the system they live in. The real issue is not whether Ghanaians are inherently good or bad, but rather how laws are enforced. Any system with weak or selective law enforcement will naturally lead to bad behavior. This is not unique to Ghana; there are bad people everywhere, even in the Western world. The difference is that in places where the law is applied fairly and consistently, people are held accountable for their actions. Instead of blaming the Ghanaian people, we should focus on ensuring that leaders enforce laws equally for all, rather than creating a system where the law only serves a privileged few
Our leaders will not do it. We are humans and abibifour for God sake. In our culture, we used to care about each other without any government system. What changed?
But how can you start a business whiles you absent !! Trusting someone to build your own business for you !! Sometimes I don’t even understand these abroad people !
It’s a matter of principles ! You are not even principled enough to manage and cater for your own business!! How will the workers see the discipline and seriousness in you !! Human beings are naturally good and bad !! It’s everywhere not just only Ghanaians but how you structure things when we start a business we only focus on the progress but not the security aspect!!
