- Dirty Honey's original drummer, Corey Coverstone, has voluntarily left the band. Jaydon Bean is the bands new drummer. He actually used to drum with the band before they were officially Dirty Honey. Here's why Corey left the band, and an attempt to clear up the mystery of them getting a new drummer out of no where.
Dirty Honey
Vocals: Marc Labelle
Guitar: John Notto
Bass: Justin
Drums: Jaydon Bean
I just saw Dirty Honey 2 days ago perform in NJ. It was then I realized that they have a new drummer. This is the first information I found on the matter and I appreciate you sharing it. I completely understand what Corey means about touring. I was a guitar and bass tech for a couple different major label bands and it gets very monotonous doing the same thing every day over and over.
Corey is a jazz drummer first. Look up his album “A Human Experience”. Great album
@@Topjunkie-r4s I certainly will, thank you for the info.
More important to take care of yourself and do what makes you happy. Corey can make a good living as a session drummer and avoid the heavy touring etc
He gets royalties so he’s big chillin
I would guess those royalties aren’t anything to write home about. Maybe they’d cover his phone bill and utilities every month lol
Rock one for Grandma!
Good info!
Isn’t it ironic that the original drummer never “sticks” around.
@West Coast Struttin'
Do you have a link to that performance of the band as The Shags (Live from Los Angeles, CA) that you showed in this vid?
I can't find it anywhere
Try Vimeo
Good video 🤘
Thanks brother🤘🏽 the new LP kicks ass!
I don’t believe Corey story of not wanting to tour. Who would quit the biggest rock band performing right now?
I believe him. He seems super laid back, touring extensively not his lifestyle, kinda like Izzy stradlin back in the day
@@WestCoastStruttin99 kind of dumb. You get to tour the world. Who can say they toured with a rock band across the globe?
@@bikerhomeboy he said he's a homebody. It's just not for him
Have you ever been on a long tour? It’s NOT for everyone. I love playing on stage, but getting from point A to point B is draining. Not to mention maybe getting a hotel room ( if you’re lucky). I did a lot touring in the late 70’s early 80’s. It’s not for everyone. Even Eddie Van Halen hated touring, but he did it cos he loves playing live.
Touring is not all sunshine and rainbows. Even famous drummers like John Bonham and Neil Peart were known to hate being on the road after a while.
So the concept of “extensive touring” never occurred to him when joining and committing to a rock and roll band ?
🤨
I’m sure the other guys were like “what did you THINK we were going to be doing?”
To each their own…but it’s still a dick move.
corey is great, Jaydon is super solid as well.....
Sure..walk away from a good gig to teach drum lessons...dirty honey is ok..but if you think youll find better....it doesnt happen anymore
Yeah he will be fighting with this decision for years to come most likely, some days being happy he made this decision, some does getting down about it. New Dirty Honey LP fuckin rocks!
Lame. Thousands of people wish they had your problem. Wish you well though.
