- Got a video from my re-birth of windsurfing in my life after having not windsurfed for 30+ years. We all start somewhere, and I look back on the gear I bought and tried to use as a beginner and laugh. But now, 4 years on, I am thinking dang, I wish I kept that Formula gear. LOL

I need to join the club. I windsurfed a little in 1985ish. Recently I realized this is my path to surfing. I live in the inner NW. No surf here, but there are bodies of water and plenty of wind. Now I'm searching places I can go and learn this March during spring break.
Good for you! I learned in Wyoming and Utah between ages 11-13. Rented equipment, had a lesson or two. Loved it. I was off to a slow start but it felt like riding a bicycle 30 years later getting back on the water. I have a bunch of videos of my progression over the last few years, and continue to post to this day. Hard to find someone windsurfing that isn't a pro or super good already. Checkout my older videos if you are curious. I sold that Formula gear and got a longboard and the real adventure started! Good luck with yours!
Ha! I remember those days. Uphaul, fall backwards.. ulhaul fall backwards again, again,again. So much better now!
I the challenging learning curve makes it so rewarding. Always learning.
@@gusthunter8780 Yeah, you're doing great Jake! I wish we had YT videos back when I started in the 80's but we all learn in different ways. It's not an easy sport to say the least but the rewards as you know are well worth it. And your journey also affected others in a positive way because as I told you, your videos really helped me get through the pandemic and I still enjoy tagging along so keep 'em coming!
