Norwegian music is definitely taking over my life. I have recently become obsessed with everything Norwegian. It started with one or two artists like Aurora. I am now learning the language so I’m always looking for artists who sing in Norwegian. This is the first time hearing Delara so thank you. The song is beautiful, so many Nordic artists perform so beautifully and many are themed around sadness and I do like a good cry. Tusen takk min vakre venn.

@@johnnys518 The opening guitar sounds like a Cure song but it escapes me which one. Nice that the lyrics were in the description. I could actually understand most of them
My favorite Norwegian band is kaizers orchestra, would love to see you react to them :D
I lost my son last summer.. 21 years old💔 I am from Norway and this song is SO strong with touching lyrics🥲❤️ Really miss my son❤️
Så trist å høre. Jeg er sikker på at han er med deg fra den andre siden

Even before you went through the lyrics, I somehow knew it was about loss and letting go. It brought up memories of losing my mother to cancer at 20. She was doing a death chant for a week solid in the hospital. When it was just her and I, I told her I loved her and that I would do ok in life. I then kissed her forehead and whispered, to not worry about me and to go home if she wanted. She took her final breath and exhaled with a smile. I was her entire world, and she was trying to hold on for me. I learned in that moment that letting go and telling a loved one that it was ok to go home was the greatest gift I could give her. It was the hardest and most painful thing I ever did in the 54 years I have been here. Yet, in the end, it allowed me to truly grieve and start the healing process. I celebrate her on new years because it was her birthday and on July 1 because that was the day she left the earth.
Thank you very much for sharing your painful, but so very beautiful story. I am truly sorry for your loss and the pain you and she endured. I admire your vulnerability and how you allowed and are allowing yourself to grieve and heal. What an inspiring thing. Thank you!
I had much the same experience when my mom passed over. I felt that she was holding on, so I told her that it was OK to go home. I was 36 though. On the day of her death and her birthday, when it turns dark, I light a candle for her in my living room window. I do this for my dad as well. ❤❤❤
I am in tears after this reaction all I can say is Thank You so much I needed to hear this today. Yor ride or die forever Eyyyyy Oooo
I’m glad you saw this one, Willey
Very nice reaction 🙂 The beautiful lady in green we see at 3:07 is our Crown Princess here in Norway, Mette Marit.
This is such a strong, strong song and she sings it in such a touching way!!! 💟💟💟
I’m Norwegian….. this is so good…. It’s so full of promise, hope and care, love and beauty 😮❤
For my 8 year old brother that passed in 1988. - Greetings from Norway.
Beautiful song! The blonde woman you see around 3 minutes is Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway.
Mette-Marit !!......she`s a former cocaine party beast..right ?
Good and heart warming review..
I from Norwegian and love to see more people get to know more music and culture from our tiny frozen country.
🥺💙
The emotions of the music and the tone of her voice sets the scene for a strange calmness amidst the storm of death.
Strong and poetic lyrics about life, death and letting go. A beautiful performance in a Norwegian Church.
Norwegian prince and princess was in the audience I believe.
Greetings from beautiful Norway. ❤
Lost my sister 4 years ago, and still struggling to navigate the grief - this song is just so emotional and beautiful.
Had to stop it several times😪❤
Saddest "Christmas movie" I know!
Thx Rosalie!
Thx Delara!
Every day, you make my day. Thank you, Rosalie.
Norway has incredible metal bands and i am not talking about the usual suspects. and many of the best singers. Roy ĸhan, Jorn Lande, Terje Haroy, Einar Solberg.
I have never seen or heard about you or that artist. I have known about the movie, but have forgotten it existed. Yet I watched this whole video, and it was very pretty and comforting. Your words and the song. Might have to watch the movie as well😅
Truth will always touch your heart even when you disagree. ❤
The lady at 3:05 is the crown princess of Norway.
One of my top 3 songs of 2023 was by a Norwegian singer. Maylen Rusti - Forglemmegei [English translation: Forget Me Not]. Thank you for showing me more music from Norway. I’ll have to look at more of your videos. Take care.

Great reaction and breakdown as usual. I know you like to dive into the music and analyze the phycological effects we feel and why. I would love to see you delve into some great country songs. They are full of life. I would recommend Alan Jackson "Drive" and George Straight "Best Day". One discussing the positive influence of loving parents, and one the lasting impact and legacy of the same kind of loving parents.
❤
I'm Norwegian, and it's nice to hear that people like to listen to the Norwegian lyrics. Personally, I don't care too much for the way of singing in the childish voice, or exaggerated alternation of chest voice and head voice. The last part is beatiful, though. Unfortunately, that's the part where the Commenter interrupted. I hate "reacting to - videos". No matter how good the intention is. As I was finishing this, she put the song on again, just to have it interrupted by a commercial. And she's talking over the song, when it's back on. 👎
Velkommen!!! 🤗♥️💟♥️
...Wow 🤘😊👌
Delara also has another song that I like a lot, Josefin. you really should listen to it.
Siste Dans
What a powerful and emotional song! And like you said, not even knowing the language it hits Hard!😭 Thanks for sharing and reacting to this song! Not sure if you already reacted to Andra Day - Rise Up, which is so beautiful and strong that hits home!! Would like to hear your reaction on this song.
Beautiful vocals and message. 👍👍 There's a little known movie called My Sister's Keeper that is definitely worth watching, if you haven't seen it. It also deals with death and letting go, but in a completely different way for a very different reason. Have a box of tissues ready.
I had a similar thing happen. I do not know a lick of Spanish but got into the artist Juanes. I even learned how to sing a couple of the songs not knowing what I was saying. If you haven’t, maybe check him out. “Para tu amor” is a little slower and “Suenos” a little more upbeat. Most of the cd was on rotate in my car.
The movie is based on a childrens book, which is very popular around christams-times! I believe is in the making (if not already) to be in english aswell! If you like her sound check out Emilie Nicolas, I`ve loved her for years and Amanda is kinda similar! (not saying someone is stealing from anyone, its just good music) - best regards norwegian librarian :)
Hi Rosalie You should check out Kalandra's Recent song ghosts, carries a similar message.

Norwegian music is taking over? Where was you in 2000? Black metal is norways biggest selling product when it comes to music.
Lots of love to you Rosalie and fellow fans 💔🫂
Made me think of another song of loss. And more than likely, you would be the only one of the reactors that I follow who would give it a chance to analyze.
She wrote this when a friend or family member of hers lost their newborn baby.

Norwegian music is taking over, but Autonomie, Motopsycho, Bokassa, I was a King, Sløtface, Kvelertak, Eie, Susanne Sundfør, etc etc no autotune there.
I would have never known that was Norwegian. It's a much softer language than I remember. And about the lyrics, I was trying to write my own according to the mood I was feeling and it could only be bittersweet. Thoughtful reaction as always Rosalie. ❤ Second listen had me in tears. I have too many people to release, won’t ever happen, but music keeps me feeling.
One women, one voice. Live. Nothing more. Completely dressed in flowers, and singing about the pain growing up.

Last look, holding on
Last dance before I leave
The sky - starry
I let go of what was
First step into eternity
Finding comfort in what I know
It's the course of life like night and day
I let go of what was
Give you a picture so you remember when we meet again
I'll never forget
Same place I'm leaving
Then I know you feel I'm here
Because I'll always be close
Memories cast in the walls
A snow crystal falling
I'm there, now I'm free
A part of you forever
Make a picture so you remember when we meet again
I'll never forget
Same place I'm leaving
Then I know you feel I'm here
Because I'll always be close
Promise, no matter where I leave
Promise, I'll always be with you
Promise me, take care of yourself my friend
One day we'll meet again
Promise, same wherever I go
Promise, I'll always be there
Promise me, take care of yourself, my friend
One day we'll meet again
Promise, wherever I go
Promise, I'll always be there
Promise me, take care of yourself, my friend
One day we'll meet again
Ofc i know what she sings but to make a point on the song - She is trying to capture the essence of norwegian folkmusic and make it a bit simpler and in a more modern form. I know it's not to replece but to get more interrest about it.
My little sister whom died way to early

Hello, could you please do a reaction of Travis Meeks and the song is black curtains, I think he is a great musician that few know and his group was days of the new, thank you and greetings from Guadalajara Jalisco Mexico 🇲🇽🫡
This is the Norwegian song you should make a reaction to.
ua-cam.com/video/FnkTuHP9q3o/v-deo.html
you shouldn't have to explain lyrics, it should be obvious. but i guess it works with the movie, i haven't seen it.

Kom to Norway ❤️
Jeg kan ta deg med , å vise deg hva Norway is
Hi from Odin Jar🇧🇻
We still doing “first”?
Funny how music hits everyone different. To me this is horrible. I'd rather listen to Natalie Merchant. Ann and Nancy Wilson from heart. Roxette Joan Jett or Janis Joplin.... hell I would rather listen to Dusty Springfield. The crap they play today is just horrible.
That's deep. Which Roxette-songs do you put on to contemplate life and loss? La la la la la, she's got the look? Hello, you fool, I love you. C'mon join the joyride?
Smaken er som baken :)
You say it’s horrible on the ground of just being modern day music… well taste is subjective and opinions aren’t facts.
Er du en gang norsk? Music is about feelings and how it moves you. Just because you deem something horrible due to bias and prejudice doesn’t mean it’s crap.
