@@ryanb9749 i kinda agree with you, hypercars are slowly becoming less and less unique, and there's too many being released. A good example is Mclaren, they release way too many "hypercars" to the point where the word itself is loosing meaning.

Not sure where you are getting your information but no official figures have been released regarding downforce. The Mercedes is easily more sophisticated and is an unprecedented design. The Valk looks more extreme but the Merc will outperform it.

Aston Martin recently listed the Valkyrie Spyder as having 1,400KG of downforce. The only detail about the AMG in that regard is a commonly quoted, but fairly old number of ~700KG. Even if slightly higher than previously calculated, there are simple design limitations such as not having massive venturi tunnels and an enormous diffuser large enough for a person to lie between that mean, aerodynamically speaking, that the AMG can not even hold a candle to the Aston, unless Mercedes have found a way to create more mechanical grip using magic that makes up for having half the downforce of the Valkyrie (not that Mercedes are trying to do so, anyway)
Too bad the world changed after the car was announced and Euro 6 effectively „killed“ the project. Compared to 10yrs old competition (McLaren P1, Ferrari Laferrari, etc) car is way too heavy (250+ Kg 😮), too slow, too quiet and last but not least too expensive!!!

Project One doesn't bring anything special on the table. I thought Mercedes Benz was creating something to compete with Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mc Laren and Bugatti! This is just another GT in different power trains flavour, yet another flop. I was thinking 2.0 seconds to 100 and a top speed of 500.
Valkyrie has more power and weighs 500kg less. It also has INSANE levels of downforce. I was hoping more from the Project One, but ofcourse I might be wrong :)

Project One doesn't bring anything special on the table. I thought Mercedes Benz was creating something to compete with Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mc Laren and Bugatti! This is just another GT in different power trains flavour, yet another flop. I was thinking 2.0 seconds to 100 and a top speed of 500.

Valkyrie has more power and weighs 500kg less. It also has INSANE levels of downforce. I was hoping more from the Project One, but ofcourse I might be wrong :)
