- First vertical takeoff of the Skywalker X8 Vtol Experimental Aircraft. Arducopter flight controller which has custom firmware controls the aircraft at Stabilize Mode. After some modifications and flight log review, vertical to fixed wing conversion will be tested.

Bu bağlamda deneyim sahibi olduğum konularda (bisiklet, outdoor ekipmanları, kamp tecrübeleri vb.) deneyimlerimi gerek blog (canavarkesifte.com) gerekse youtube kanalım üzerinden paylaşıyorum. Did you ever get this going in forward flight? I'm quite interested in doing the same thing with my VTOL X8.

Just wondering how you are coming along with your blog? The motors you use for tilting the props are of particular interest to me. Did you build them yourself or did you buy them? I look forward to your response.

Clinton Burchat, my blog is not ready but i can answer your question. I'm using rc servos (savöx 0254) to tilt the brushless motors. I design the tilting mechanism and print them with using a 3d printer.
Ersin Gönül thanks for getting back to me. How is the build coming along. I would love to see it transition to forward flight if you have the video. It is a very neat set up.

How far can it go?
I just saw this video. I'm not sure if you are aware that the ArduPilot quadplane code now supports this sort of tiltrotor, so you should be able to fly this as a full quadplane, with automatic transitions. Although we have had support for quadplanes with all 4 motors tilting for some time, I don't believe anyone has flown one other than in simulators, so it would be great to test it.
