    Step into one of the most unlikely kingdoms on earth. This is the Dwarves Empire in Kunming, China, where little people stand tall. Or do they?
    At this controversial theme park, little people dress in costumes and perform for visitors. Despite the fantasy world promised to them, life is not exactly a fairy tale.

    How rude! Those tourists and the woman coordinator treated the little people like play things, carrying them like toddlers and making fun of them, not taking into account that the little people have feelings too. Sad. That really irked me.

      It's genetic they don't lack hormones or anything so you can't change it unfortunately. You can only prevent it with genetic modification or just by not breeding if you have the gene

    I didn't watch the whole documentary the first time because it's so long (1.5 hours), now I'm watching it again from the start and it actually does show different perspectives. I know it focuses more on the "outcasts" (like Quan Quan who keeps being bullied by everyone) but some of the little people interviewed genuinely enjoy being in the Little Kingdom. I think it's not for everyone. I don't think it's right for people to say that they are being exploited. If they are there voluntarily then they are not being exploited, it's just a job. If you actually watch the entire 2-part documentary (it's 2 separate videos, this is only the first half) you will see that some of the employees left to find work in other places, like the 30-year-old lady who got her drivers licence and went to work in another theme park. Life is really what you make of it. I wish people would watch the whole documentary before making comments.

    Looking at their boss and their living condition, I think they got exploited.

    I also realised they don't show why Quan Quan decided to leave the Little Kingdom. At the beginning of the documentary he said he was happy there but then later he said he couldn't handle the complicated relationships there and never wanted to go back? It really doesn't explain why or what triggered his decision to leave.

      The employees don't earn enough, I believe. There's also the problem the park itself doesn't get enough visitors.

    It would be really cool if they would build houses instead of dormitories for the people. Then they could really have an experience of living, marrying, and having a full life.

      Sara A China has cruel laws about certain disabled groups, they discourage them finding love or trying to procreate. Honestly if it was up to them, they would euthanize all of them...

    So sad that they have to tell people to stop watching them. They are so brave. Life is difficult for everyone but praises to these people who have such a big challenge to overcome.

    Not sure why they're required to act like kids when they're clearly adults. I can't believe how some people find it humorous to carry them and ask stupid ass questions.

    They should really have a law where visitors must be polite and respectful and not so evasive towards these people they are after all in their homes at their workplace

    • @porkcutlet3920
      @porkcutlet3920 Рік тому +2

      It's exploitative but it's home for some of them. Outside, they face discrimination and struggle to survive. People either look at them as oddities or pity them. However, they don't need our pity. They just want to be treated like everyone else. Also, I don't think the park is making money, if anything at all. My guess is the owner is using the park as a tax write off.

    Why , having so much money to even grow bigger, are the quarters so poorly and why hasn't more been invested and done to make the premises really dignified for them to live there? Does the government help?

    omg that tourist woman with the purple hat i would have punched her to get her off of me people are being exploited just simply because they're little people and where they come from and it's not fair they're just like everyone else just small and I hate the fact that they say just because they're small repeatedly that they are slow&childlike, that place although the owner says that he has their best interest at heart is a liar he's a businessman and he's exploiting them he's making money off of them he doesn't really care or he wouldn't let people manhandle them like they were some kind of a puppet and not a human things need to change everywhere in the US that would never happen, those visitors are the most disrespectful people I've ever seen in my life laughing at them like they were freaks I'm so mad right now and grabbing them and picking them up patting them on their heads like their children what the hell or what gives them the right to do that??
