ClemsonCamper, Thank you so much for doing this video and posting it. We love to camp here but it's hard to remember from the last time we were there which sites we could fit into and could easily back into. This really helped us a lot! Thanks Again!! Happy Camping

Sadly a tornado spun off from Hurricane Irma and went through the Live Oak side of park. It took forever to get it cleaned out. Sorry to still see yellow tape still. It my favorite twin engine a year park to visit.

Thank you so much for posting this!! We've never been to Edisto Beach Campground so this was exactly what I needed to help me decide on what site I wanted to reserve from the very few that were left for the dates I wanted. They don't post pics of each site like some online reservation sites do so this was extremely helpful for picking out the best one, out of the 6 sites that were left. Thank you again!!!

Hey ClemsonCamper! You happened to ride by my brother, and a few of his friends/coworkers. They were in the Sunseeker and truck camper. My buddy said good morning!

I have been hesitant to camp in there because I'm so afraid that the Mosquitos will eat us alive. We even had that problem when we camped at Hunting Island near the front. When we camped at Edisto near the beach side.. it wasn't so bad. Anywhere where their is a lot of brush, and wood areas, they just eat me alive.. What is your take on it in Live Oaks?

The mosquitoes have always been big and hungry when we are there, and we always go at Thanksgiving. Screened rooms and mosquito bombs make it bearable.

Yes, practically anywhere on the island near shade and cover is infested with them! Is South Carolina, and there's water everywhere! We usually make to trips a year, but didn't make it last year. Started out taking the kids, not there are 10 grandchildren! It was much better before the developers found it. The yuppies will ruin it! It'll be full of bars and noisy attractions, just like Myrtle Beach!

Hi, great video, Tha K you.
Do you know if it is feasible to ride bikes across and to the beach? Instead of packing everyone up in cars? Looks like a half mile which isn't too bad

We go to Edisto every Thanksgiving and camp in the Oaks campground. I don’t know about traffic during the summer, but we don’t use the truck after we get set up. We do all of our traveling on bikes. We ride to the beach at least once a day and the grocery store about as often. The shoulder of the road is paved and since there isn’t a bridge, the ride is flat.
