FINALLY! THE DOOR IS DONE.
THEY WERE HOLDING UP 321 THOUSAND SUBSCRIBERS LIVES.
NOW WE CAN ALL HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS
Yes so true 😁
Very true 😂
😁
I felt instantly warmer when that went up without a problem.
Smart alec..........I love it. LOL, LOL, LOL
Cedar: “Does this mean I have Christmas covered?” Priceless!
Looool
Dear Red Poppy family
I really appreciate your skill at video production. They are beautiful.
Apologies if someone already mentioned this, but a couple large ceiling fans moving slowly would move that heat from your wood stove around nicely, and when reversed give you a nice breeze in the warmer months. Happy for you guys getting that garage door installed. What a difference it will make out there!
The reversible ones which I think most are, would be great out there in the shop to circulate the heat in the winter and move the air around in the summer too.
What a great idea, I hope they see this comment.
You two and your family are soooo…. Normal!! All we ask as an audience is that you encourage each other all the time! There is a shortage of kindness and love these days! God prosper you and bless you richly!!
Self reliance is paramount in your situation. Love how you say that you don't want to burden your wife with having to plow, it's not that she can't or that she won't, it is that you have roles that make it work. Glad to see the door installed, huge relief I'm sure.
I love that you highlight you falling instead of just cutting it out! Too many "perfect" youtubers out there! Best wishes!
lol, When I fall , the voice in my head says " dumbass"
From someone who was raised in a broken home and who didn't have the best upbringing, it brings joy to my heart seeing families like this. Thank you for sharing a little bit of your lives with us. God bless and Merry Christmas!
I bet your neighbors love it that the road magically stays clear.
Good job Heath. Your taking ownership of your responsibilities is exactly what made me fall in love with your channel 3 years ago. I wish more men in this day and age felt like you and I do about taking care of our families from a love and safety standpoint. Not that others don't love their families. They just aren't willing to put in the work to move ahead and cover the bumps along the way so that the family doesn't feel it.
Health, you never know just how much we kindly think of you. I have watched you for the pass four years with your up and downs. you taught us all about being a great man that gives hard work for his family with love. I know we out here in you-tuber land that appreciate your efforts.
Heath is in heaven. It's nice to see the fruits of your labor pay off. I can't wait to see the shop progress!
Looking forward to seeing Cedar's present!
Love that you take ownership of your Responsibilities as the man of the house, and that you have a wife that trust and has faith in your word. Together you have forged a life that many can only dream of, but yet you show them that your life is a work in progress, one day at a time.
How about a “carport” on the front side of the shop? Any snow that slides off the shop would land on the carport roof and then off onto the far side of the drive. Keeps the path clear and shelters whatever you park there. Design it to be the full length of the shop.
Thats what i was going to say lol. Have a Merry Christmas everyone!
I was going to suggest that as well! Great minds think alike! Haha
Then put some heat trace on the roofs to melt it off. Done
I just finished posting that very same suggestion, proceeded to scroll down the comments and see you beat me to it, lol! I do agree it would be a great long term solution.
I love how you guys sit together and answer questions, its really nice to get the depth of the conversation.
Heath you are one honourable gentleman!! You say you are going to do something and you DO IT!!
Cedar is one lucky lady to have such a man! Wishing you all a safe, happy, warm and joyous festive season.
Hay all at Red Poppy Ranch just Marry Christmas and Happy New Year. That is all folks from a 73 yr old retired TRUCKER. You live the life i should have. Love it.
If you stay ready, you won’t have to get ready.
I have no idea why I'm so happy to see that door finally put in, just am.
It's a Christmas miracle! Glad you got him up there and got it all closed in.
I may or may not have yelled “yesssss!” and clapped when I saw the title of this episode 🥳😬🥰
That’s side of the shop is just crying for a good 12’ deep overhang the length of the building to park your truck and trailer with a good size walkway to the door and chickens. Having all that under cover will save you a lot of time and protection from weather.
North East Outrider agreed. Full awning with concrete anchors on the other side of the fence. He will be eternally grateful for the daily hour of shoveling it will save him each winter.
Completely agree. Room for vehicles and a nice covered path to feed the animals.
My thoughts exactly!
Agree!!! And that’s how a job nicely done does pull up another job who needs to be done. And so on and on, around every home there is no way to be all done. Unless you do nothing.;)
MAN! Getting that door up had to be a HUGE milestone!! Congratulations!!
I can imagine how delighted you are to have a place for doing winter projects us guys love to do!
To all that gather at the Red Poppy ranch this Coming Christmas,May the season hold much love and happiness for you all.
You folks are doing an amazing job on adapting to your environment! Hard work & creativity has carried you a long ways! Way further than most people could of imagined!
Never been so happy for someone else to get a garage door installed before... :):)
Ruby is looking really good, and I believe she will be the dog you were looking for.
Bandit is such a good boy so gentle with Ruby.
Great job Heath! Glad you finally got that garage door installed... game changer! Would like to see Rhett take over some of these projects. That’s what’s missing with this generation. Their parents skills are not passed down. Love the channel, keep it up!!!
Oh my word! You don't have a lot of parking! You do need a reality check
You are very blessed. Enjoy all that God has given you. The return on your work has been multiplied in many ways. Just don't miss the forest for the trees. Rejoice and be glad in it. Love your channel.
I want to say what a pleasure it is to be able to be subscribed to your channel. I love being able to see your family and all the wonderful achievements you guys have along the way. You guys make a beautiful couple and you can see the love there. Our family is stuck inside due to Covid right now and being able to watch your updates really makes us feel as though we are connecting with friends and helps keep us sane. Thank you and may GOD bless you to continue to prosper along the way.
Cedar it’s always so nice to see and hear from you!
Cedar your husband is amazing. The hardest working man I've ever seen. Other than my step dad. I growth up seeing this and its refreshing to see this again in a man.
Wife later than should be getting home. Not a jealous man, a worried man = a man in love. So great and awesome 🙏🙏🙏🧡🧡🧡
They say Christmas is a time of Peace and Joy....Watching Red Poppy Ranch weekly is my idea of peace and joy....Merry Christmas folks.
I love watching you and your family. The simplicity and genuineness is amazing. Love you guys, Cedar is so shy. God bless you all
At the end of your video when you’re talking about responsibilities. I appreciate that, I talk to my suns about that since They were little now they are grown men. Your description of responsibilities of family is what I have taught them about being a real man. It’s a life of sacrifice, but a willingly one . Kudos to you my friend, and thank you!
I believe a 2-stage snow thrower 8 feet wide mounted on the front of a bigger tractor with a heated cab would make you happy. One trip each way throwing the snow off the road 30 feet without any smashing and pushing on a pickup truck frame. Pickups only last about 3 years before they fall apart in Canada doing what you are.
It's harder to push snow than move the snow off to the side. Fill in low spots for safety or the opposite side of the road if its getting blown by wind back onto the cleared road.
Now that you are there permanently it's probably cheaper than repairing every season or upgrading existing equipment. It doesn't have to be new to use it maybe 30 days a year.
You finally have yourself a ‘truck-dog’ she looks lovely 😊 hanging over your shoulder. She is picture perfect.
Having a closed garage in the winter makes an enormous difference
I like the end of the video where you both answer questions. It's a more personal touch. Thank you.
Hi there from Maine. My husband has been building over the years. Knowing how hard it is to get lumber he wanted to share a helpful tid bit ...your 1x12” that you are planning on siding your shop with, you can miter the ends of the boards at a 45 degree angle overlapping the bottom with the top to insure no water penetration and then you could use random lengths of 1x12” instead of having to wait for 16 footers.
I used to live in North Windham back in the 70's :)
So happy you got the door installed
That snow hanging off the shop side is kind of amazing and scary.
So glad to see that the shop garage door is finally on . Now you can work in the shop without freezing . LOL
Your a man's, man. You teach ethics, morals, integrity, responsibility and faith to many who have absentee parents. Your never afraid of hard work, and gets things accomplished. You are a true blessing to your family, friends and to all of us out here in UA-cam land. Cedar, your a lucky woman. Take care of your very special husband, father to your children, and to cyberland. Have a very Happy Holiday. G-D Bless, and stay Safe.
Merry Christmas to all at Red Poppy Ranch, thanks for letting us feel a part of your extended family.
Heath, the one thing I never doubted is how much you care about your families safety! That has been very evident through the beginning of the build and even before hand. I love seeing the progress of everything you have done. Yahoo for the garage door going in. I know that means the shop will evolve inside. But projects Cedar needs done will be done in a warmer environment, for sure. Can’t wait to see what you have planned for her gift. As I always say to you, thank you for bringing us along for the ride. Your videos have been a good distraction of a challenging year. All the best to you this Christmas! ❤️The Carson Family.
I would extend the roof line to the edge of the pasture. Create covered area for the trailers and let that snow and ice fall directly into the pasture.
What a gorgeous pup in the opening scene riding on your shoulder
Sure hope your neighbors appreciate you plowing the road.
Aah ! Ruby is soo confident and loving
AWESOME you deserve that shop .
9:25 two stroke gas stove shooting flames from the headers.
This week, back east we had a storm come thur... A guy in NY state, sterring went out and he slide off the road. It took 10 hours to find him, he was calling 911, they could only narrow down a 3 mile strech of road. One of the State Police went out to look for the guy... while trying to get through the snow bank looking for a mail box, they had finally figured about where he was, the Police officer surprisingly found the guys driver door !!! Another person came by and helped pull the man out, he was put in the police car and taken to the firehouse, they took him to the hospital.... The guy is doing well, no lasting injuries. He was under 40" of snow ! So yeah, you need to be care full .... Merry Christmas to all ....
I read that the guy was suffering from hypothermia and a bit of frostbite.
Finally!!! Now you can actually hear that place!!!
SO glad you got your doors at last! You guys take care of each other, not taking anything for granted. In today's world, that is WISE!! Merry Christmas to you all!!🎄🎆
Maybe you should consider a porch/shed roof on the front of the shop. Everything is looking great. Thanks for sharing
I think one of the projects you should think about is a carport. It is always so nice to be able to pull in under a nice wide roof and get out and not get soaked. Perhaps build it at the end of the house facing the garage. I'm sure she will appreciate it....
Awesome, this has to make working on anything in the shop so much more enjoyable!
Merry Christmas to the whole Red Poppy Ranch Family, enjoy the snow, warm stove and togetherness. God Bless you All!
Heath, you are an excellent example of a great Husband and Father. I look forward to your videos each week. Cedar, you are an awesome Christian woman and I appreciate all you do for your family and community. God Bless and Merry Christmas.
What an awesome man you are Heath! Cedar congratulations you found a husband that also loves you and takes of you and family!! Doesn’t others that live off that road help? God Bless you and all your family! Merry Christmas 🎄🙏💜🤗
The quality of your videos continue to improve
The sit down sessions of questions and answers with cedar make the videos 100% better and more informative
She is a gem, you lucky man
Merry Christmas to your family
GOOD Morning Red Poppy Ranch from Texas
Beautiful night snows, so calming...
The longest 2 weeks in history 😂🤣😂😅😎🤙🦅 was hoping you'd say adding a car port to the garage to move the snow into the animal yard.
Once the weather is better wheres the poppy seeds at sprinkle them everywhere on your land and they would regrow every year
The garage doors 🚪 are hung ! This is awesome! 😊👍💕💕💕
Great video.. Loved how you just bumped into your nephew... 👌👍👌👍
Truly dedicated head of the household.
MAY ALL OF YOU HAVE A JOYOUS, HEALTHY, AND WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS AND WONDERFUL NEW YEAR.
The look back at the camera is classic "did anyone see that look" 😀😀
THERE IS NOT SUCH THING AS BAD WEATHER.
IT'S JUST DIFFERENT WEATHER.
I like
no such thing??? one word tornado
The mom in me was saying get that gas can away from the barrel stove, but the pyro in me was saying ooooh lookee at those flames shooting out! That’s so cool! 😂😂🤣
Hello sweet family.
Happy to see the garage door go in, a perfect place for winter projects.
Ruby is adorable and growing fast. She’s a happy pup.
God bless you all and Merry Christmas. 🎄
It is strange but I am so happy for you getting your garage door on. I have been watching and I checking every time you post to see if it is on. I'm not sure who is more excited that it is finally installed. I can remember many of winter nights rebuilding old Jeeps with my dad and there is something very special about hanging out in the garage with dad for a young and teen boy. I wish you many fond memories of teaching your boys how to problem solve and in general hanging in the man space.
happy Sunday , Thanks for all the moments
Awesome way to start the day. Watching my favourite UA-camrs 👍
This guy works harder than a one-armed brick layer in Baghdad. Thanks for sharing mate.
I squealed with joy when I saw the garage door go up. Today is certainly a great day! Merry Christmas!
Riding the storm out on a full night in a Rocky Mountain winter!!
Your strength and energy never ceases to astound me. Your skills are quite diverse, and have served you well. I even seem to agree with most of your life positions. Amazing, considering we live polar opposite lives. I don't need to wish you future good luck, because you are the one who makes your future. Merry Christmas from a guy old enough to be your father--who lives in Southern Florida-- and has a 20kw generator with 2 backup generators. You never know!
You guys might be tired of all the snow but for someone living on the channel coast where it hardly ever snows, this video is like winter wonderland and really gives me some Christmas spirit.
Thanks a lot and merry Christmas!
Edit: and congrats on the most important door installment ever. 😁
very nice to see the garage door in better heat not going outside great job plowing as well
I so wish that we all could be part of your family for the day and join you for your Christmas celebrations.
Living in Thailand, a Buddhist country, Christmas isn't really celebrated here, it's just like any other day of the year. I miss what little snow we used to get in England so, making your videos even more enjoyable.
The door is in! Yippee!!!
It looks and works MAGNIFICENTLY!!!! Congratulations 😺😸😹🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈
There is a "cost" to not addressing the issues of the road for signage, drainage, culverts, trimming trees and branches, and adding gravel. You have uncertainty, damage to equipment, worry, anxiety, getting stuck, cost of unsuitable equipment. You can continue to procrastinate and fight it or meet the issues head on and spend a summer season working on the road. As you say, it's your responsibility and you use it more than anyone else, so it should be up to you to correct it. It doesn't all have to be done in one year, but if you prioritize fixing the worst areas and have a written plan, the road will continue to get better as you go.
That’s pretty well what he’s getting at, they’ve only been there a year and had many priority things to take care of
You're living the dream, Stretch.
Seeing the puppy on your shoulders while driving...my dog does the same thing. Often she gets a big treat of a Arby’s roast beef sandwich, and thinks everybody inside should come talk to her when we roll up to the drive thru. Garage door looks great , congrats on the install.. 🎄🎄🎄🎄❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️☃️☃️☃️☃️🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁
I Love Ruby’s perch! She must have some Parrot blood in her background!
😁🤗
It must feel so good having that door up
It's so exciting to see the garage door up.
So add a carport to extend the roof over to your pasture fence to allow the snow to slide off and you dont have to worry about the snow piling up at your walk door or needing to remove it to get to the livestock to feed
Been watching you guys for while now as we dream of doing something similar. Two years ago we moved to Tennessee and this year we sold all of our properties in Florida. Currently own a property which is a great base for the family while we begin the purchase of property and our off grid adventure. Thank your for the push to do this.
My wife turned me onto this channel. And I'm so glad she did !! Quickly growing to be one of my top favorite UA-cam channels.. thanks Heath for all the hard work !!
My sister was on a semester abroad in Idaho and she loved it.
Greets from germany.
Chuckled at Cedar ... "I think I never see you now..." Later we learned that we (the collective us) going to tackle some late night projects... Great fire place talk, you are a good man Sir!
