Love the rgb effects and performance seems good. I cleaned a ftiends dirty pc few months back smd they had a 120mm aio. Once everything had been bacterially cleaned(!) and rebuilt i was generally impressed by the 120mm performance. Still feel aio's too complicated for me. Thank you for reviewing Mike and Kath stay cool 👍
As a smaller form factor case this looks great especially if a 120AIO is being used. Looks like Gamemax have another winner here and at this pricepoint its gonna command some attention in my opinion. Thanks Mike and Kath (and Gamemax)
Nice. Glad to see 120 aio coolers getting the attention on youtube again since i'm tempted to upgrade to a 120 aio from my crappy stock deepcool cpu cooler that came with my ibuypower system ugh. They should have at least did a 120mm tower cooler for this build of mine but oh well.
nice video, do you know if ID-Cooling FrostFlow 240L AIO can outperforms MSI MAG Series CORELIQUID C280 ? i see no youtube made video about the c280. wonder if that cooler has water stuck issues.
Not that expensive. $72 on the US Amazon. But I still say if you're not wanting to invest a lot of money in your rig, a cheaper air cooler will usually do the job. And that's coming from someone who loves water cooling.

good cooler for smaller cases. doesn't look so in your face as a tower air cooler. the ARGB looks great as well. good idea using it to replace the rear fan. pity not available in Australia.
it is a bit of a niche product for smaller setups really but looks nice and easy to install, sadly i don't know if there are any gamemax distros in aus at present
Mounting an AIO system with the pipes up will guarantee a system failure. This is because there's always air in the loop and mounting it pipes up, will guarantee air going to the pump which will almost instantly heat up the CPU to over its limit. Trust me, I learned the hard way. I got an old R5 3600x to 105w this way and the whole computer would shut down. Mounting the radiator upside down fixed the issue.
a bit of air chill factor might have helped a little, the case has pretty decent front air flow even with the front glass, the side vents allow the air to pass quite freely and in the case review i tested with the front on and off and there was almost nothing in it
Not much point in a 120mm AIO personally, most of them perform the same as a decent air tower cooler and the air cooler has a lot less parts that could go wrong and is usually a bit cheaper too. I think if you go AIO then 240mm should be the smallest size you use as then it would cool the CPU better then most budget air coolers.
Normally I would agree But this is Insane for The price iv had it running in mine for over 18 months maybe nearer 2 years Never a sound or issue temps always low and i wanted This as i was building a Custom RGB pc and Wanted water cooling but couldnt afford the whole shibang so went with this 100% one of the Better ones in my op
Like others have said, a 120mm AIO is really quite irrelevant with the advent of high performing and relatively cheap Air Coolers, no matter how good or bad this AIO is.... Unless of course because of case design etc it is the only option. But then why buy the case in the first place, if that being the case. (Pun not intended).
a lot of mainstream air coolers especially the better known ones are gradually getting more expensive, to the point of making a 120mm aio more attractive to me, and there is a lot more thermal mass at play so it gives more headroom for those in countries with higher ambient temps to start with
Mike's Review & How to is Worthy of a Support comment & a Like 🙂
Thanks William - have a great day :-)

the simplicity of a good 120mm tower is a better option a lot of the time, but if you are short of room the aio route is a good shout at this price
Cool video thanks Mike.
Lol! Thanks Paul :-)

i made a video on it a few weeks back
@@mikesunboxing yes I saw the R280, but I was asking C280. hahah
Still using my 240mm version on my main rig since I made a video on it a while back and it's still going strong
i remember it well, glad to hear it is still going strong
I doubt it can outperform double tower coolers like thermalright peerless assasin that cost like 40$ sometimes, or ak620.
it isn't far off. i was surprised how well it did
Hello mike. What is the lifespan of the pump of the ice chill 120?
should be good for around 5 years or more
Its been a while, im using a r5 5600x, do you recommend this aio cooler?
yes that is fine

I again agree w/Big O. Pass on the 120 AIO for air cooling, outside of some unusual or particular special circumstance.
Yup air cooling so much easier in most applications
@@TranceHistorian True. Which is why I always water cool. Where's the fun in a PC build being easy? 😂
@@TranceHistorian I would say easier in all applications.
The fun in a PC build, is to be able to use (gaming on) it, trouble free....
I attached one of these to a lga 1151 motherboard and the fan is running but no rgb lights and it's same with the pump, do you know what I'm missing

@@mikesunboxing OK on aussie market. Mainly controlled by Ingram Micro . they push Corsair, MSI and several other brands
MY 2 PCs use VETROO AIO coolers very cheap here. my 240mm cost only 69 AUD and the 360mm was only 99 AUD much less than US pricing.
sounds like a ok cooler for the price.... cheers
Thanks Craig :-)

Wonder what your test results would be Mike if that case had frontal air flow.
a bit of air chill factor might have helped a little, the case has pretty decent front air flow even with the front glass, the side vents allow the air to pass quite freely and in the case review i tested with the front on and off and there was almost nothing in it
@@mikesunboxing interesting. Thank you. Always thought air in a case had trouble and lost something, trying to make 90 degree turns.
how wud the 120, 240 ,360 compare in dealing with a 5950x?
go big 360
Nice review! Looks decent, performs decent but £50 is a bit hefty i think for this unit.
Fair enough!
Does somebody knows if its possible to change the fan? i feel like its not so good
yeah sure use whatever you like in there as long as it is 120mm
@@mikesunboxing but i dont see how, i cannot see the screw, its covered, or i can take the cover off?

Overpriced when you consider what kind of performance a small 20 quid air cooler can provide.
yes that is very true, look at the recent antec bargain we had
