LULLABY
The Sun slowly, slowly
gathered her long shadows,
wound them into a ball -
to unravel again in the morning.
She gathered the voices of birds,
shielding them from the cold.
The cat and the moon will purr
and turn the starry millstone.
Asleep are the deer and bucks,
and all the noises of the day,
in her dream, the wild boar -
as light as a feather, she soars.
The waters flow so softly,
splitting the shores so green.
All waters, no matter how deep,
gaze at the sky before falling asleep.
