Those who have been redeemed by the atoning work of Christ need never doubt God's ability to carry them all the way home. As J.I. Packer says, "Slippings and strayings there will be, no doubt, but the everlasting arms are beneath us; we shall be caught, rescued, restored. This is God's promise; this is how good he is.” So no matter how confused we may be, we can always sing with fresh faith, "Guide me, O my great Redeemer!"

Wow. This one is hella powerful. Great arrangement! When old hymns are set to contemporary music, it reminds me of this saying of Jesus: “Therefore every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.” (Matt 13:52) Our faith has so much richness and beauty in its century-spanning diversity of traditions! 😇
