Yes, Donna Reed was very beautiful and so talented. I find myself getting up in the morning to watch "The Donna Reed Show" on MeTV. It is a great show...a classic.
I was born in Denison, lived in Vail. My entire family has loved Donna always. She's my favorite too. I have had the opportunity to be in touch with Patty Petersen and Wm Paul Petersen. They're both so Great and Kind Also. I will be in Denison Memorial Day as I get up there as much as I can. I always think of Donna Reed and what a Wonderful Woman she was.
Jan.27: Happy birthday Actress Donna Reed, Academy Award: Best Supporting Actress "From Here To Eternity." (1921-1988) Thank you and God bless. Thanks for the upload, gt83jc. RIP Screen legend. Blessings
On this day in 1958 {September 24th} "The Donna Reed Show" premiered on the ABC-TV network... The show ran from 1958 to 1966, with a grand total of 275 episodes... In 1963 Donna Reed won a Gold Globe Award for "Best Female TV Star"... And she won the 1953 Academy Award for "Best Supporting Actress" for her performance as Lorene in the war drama From Here to Eternity Donna Reed passed away on January 14th, 1986 at the age of 64... R.I.P. Ms. Reed...
One of my all-time favorite TV moms. Donna Reed and Father Knows Best's Jane Wyatt are my top two. They were beautiful, authoritative (when they had to be), and sweet. It's a pity that TV moms are not cut from that kind of cloth these days. While they didn't represent every mother in every way, at least they gave us impressions that was mostly favorable and extended our memories, not lessen them.
Donna and myself have something in common. We were both born on farms, in the midwest, both of us strived to be the best. And high school could be challenging.
My Grandmas Cousin. My Gma grew up on a Farm in Iowa too but when the Depression hit hard instead of being sent to Hollywood...she was sent to be a live-in-maid at 8! Sad even though they taught her a lot and were kind. She was very Pretty and very Perfectionistic too!
I always loved this woman so classy so true to herself an honest and caring person everybodys mom and friend someone with traditional values that you could always believe in rip sweet angel!🙏❤🌹😘
My Mom dated Donna's brother for awhile. Bill? Maybe? My Mom was from Harlan which is about 30 miles south of Denison. I'm not sure how they met but my Mom has a lot of fun telling the story of how she was at the Mullenger house one day when Donna was actually on the phone from Hollywood and talking to the family. She didn't talk to her but that was a big deal. This would have been in the 40's.
She wore the early 60s helmet hair SO beautifully and with much style!
What a classy, beautiful, and talented woman! One of my first crushes!

Easily the most luminous movie star. I've probably seen It's a Wonderful life 50 plus times because of her and Jimmy Stewart.

She was the most genteel, amazing and beautiful western euro type woman, ever. (Sorry I'm part middle eastern and slightly prefer 'exotic' overall..)
Sooooo beautiful! I just LOVED watching her show in syndication as a little girl. I can't believe Mickey Rooney had her *facepalm*
If I'd been a judge for that beauty contest I would have given her my vote, I'm sure there were other pretty girls but not of her caliber
SHE WAS IN TOP 5 THE MOST BEAUTIFUL IN HOOLYWOOD.
We need more women like her in this modern world
