Black Walnuts (you can make a black walnut tincture) are good for deworming (acts as an anti viral and antiparasitic like Ivermectin) as well as diatomaceous earth, and you can use bentonite clay for mastitis. Just thought I’d share some other options. We need to really learn ways of caring for our animals and families and doesn’t include big pharma, when possible.

We live in a rural farming area. The vet I use recently made the decision to not do any "emergency care". The only other vets in the area don't treat in the field. That leaves us with NOBODY. Now, they are limiting meds. I heard veterinarian's are becoming a dying profession. Sounds like a perfect storm for us!!

I went to our local tractor supply for some penicillin because I have a goat with pneumonia and the LA200 ( oxytetracycline) I was using didn't seem to be knocking it out. They had a one bottle for over $100, but none of the smaller bottles. I talked to the manager and they could not order it and had no idea if they would be getting more in.
Also, even though it's winter here and not really usual time for worming, they had almost zero ivermectin. Just FYI

Another option for antibiotics that can be used for both humans and animals that you can used without a prescription is Colloidal Silver...it is better for you and helps build your immune system at the same time - you can make this yourself. I tried it on a feral cat that had a massive infection on one side of his face, it disappeared after 3 days putting this in his water and wet food. It is distilled water with silver in....X10 stronger than antibiotics...i have used it on myself for any cuts, eye/throat infections and colds.

    • @casual454t1

I have used colloidal silver for over 30 years. NOW brand is the one I've used and trusted as they were the first available at the store back then. My one Malinois just loves it. My Rottie/Shepherd mix not so much, lol. I had also sprayed it constantly on a bout of shingles. Took less than a week to heal. Doctor, who I had to get a back to work release from said, then it wasn't shingles. Right. But they have colloidal creams now, which would have been easier to use.

So appreciate everything you've shared with us! I do feel the need to share something with you. While living in Texas, and having a small herd of brangus (mix of brahma and Angus), we had an outbreak of pink eye. An old farmer told me to give each a intramuscular injection of 10cc of evaporated milk. He stressed not sweetened condensed milk. Use evaporated milk right into one of their hips. I used the purple spray one the same hip to mark the calf that was injected. And it worked! Of course, we had to empty, and clean the water trough and feed trough, but they got over it with one injection. Old timers know!

Hi Patara! I have been watching your videos for over a year now and you have SO inspired me to keep prepping! I live in Alberta, Canada. We have chickens and gardens on our small acreage. I just wanted to let you know that here in Canada, all antibiotics, penicillins, and all ivermectin products were pulled off the farm store shelves over a year ago. They are only available through a veterinarian. As a result, the prices of these products have sky-rocketed. I used to buy 250ml of ivermectin at the feed store for $60-70 CAD. The same size bottle is now almost $200 through the veterinarian, plus the additional yearly veterinarian visit costs. SO so glad I stocked up before.

Patara is correct. Please find a vet if you don't already have one. I took my dog to the vet for her check-up and my vet and I were talking about this very subject. He is not for it either and he said it will cause more work for him. His family owns a dairy farm and he does some traveling for established patients only. He told me he could treat my chickens if they needed an antibiotic because I was already an established patient. In addition, he said it would be too much for his practice just to take on new patients after June.
Patara, I'm rejoicing with you and your praise report!🎉❤

I'm very thankful to hear your skin cancer has been caught in time. Farmers are VERY susceptible to melanoma. My Father in law died from getting it in his eye. I've also had many Basil cells removed, but now have Squamous Cell on my face, and close to my right eye. Farm life is hard in many ways! I STILL can't believe States aren't fighting this medicine law. It's got to be the WORST law I've ever seen... How are vets supposed to get to so many places in a day? With my Tin Foil Hat, firmly on my head, I think it's because the "Climate Change Religionists" meeting in DAVOS every year, don't want us to be self sufficient. They want to keep us all in these 15 minute Cities and eating bugs... They will do anything to make it difficult to afford to keep animals... It's bad, and getting worse by the day with these fools.

Thanks for the heads up on the meds. Some of the feed that has antibiotics in it has already gone to requiring a prescription, some other stuff but don't recall. I know around here, penicillin has been scarce for so long I haven't bothered to check on it.
