- We are BACK with another video game convention visit, but this time we are on the hunt to complete the entire 3DS North American library! Retropalooza Houston is one of the smaller retro gaming conventions Texas gets here, but it usually still has a good turn out! Hosted by The Gamechasers themselves, it's always such a great time seeing what vendors bring the the convention each year!

You should try coming to classic game fest in Austin, it's in july and it's a pretty huge convention!

Saw you walk by, unfortunately I was too busy hosting all the tournaments to walk over and say hi
I skipped out on the dude's poster mainly because I didn't have the space, and I bought a Mario wonder poster for $39 from the booth with the paper Mario sticker star poster. And I've been tryingnto remember the booth that had the Toys R Us window clings
I've only been to two of these so far, and honestly, yeah there were a lot more toys and dodads than games this year. Having some is one thing, but it did definitely feel like an oversaturation of it, especially the huge number of vendors that had pokemon cards, the year *after* pokemon people were there. Either way, I got to hang out with my friends and still found some good deals to boot so I can't complain too much

I was there on Sunday. I took $300 and spent half. I got The Game Chasers Movie and the rest was spent on my 12yo daughter. She was excited that there were lots of toys and stuff. She’s a big Kirby fan and likes to collect plushies. We also found a Kirby poster from the same guy lol.
There was a guy hogging the Dreamcast. I wanted to set a record on it others would have trouble beating 😂

I was also there and I totally feel the same way about the toy vendors. There were way too many of them. I still had a great time and managed to get a decent amount of games I needed. This was my first Retropalooza and I am looking forward to going to the Dallas one. I hear it's bigger and better so I am excited to go. See you there maybe?
