Have met several folks from the UK who buy season passes at Heavenly (as well as Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, Illinois, Missouri, Texas, New York, Florida, etc) Snow may not always the greatest, since most of them only get a week or so to ski each season, they invariably will say the chance for better, warmer weather far outweighs the snow in the Rockies, Utah, etc.
Nice.. brings back some good memories.. went there in 2005.. first time snowboarding and loved it!!.. first and only time.. I'm from Texas so you could imagine...
Hey I had those exact same Head Monster! Good skis. Thanks for the run. I was cheering for you to cut inside the woods around 3:50-4:30. Beautiful views.
Just did this run a week and a half ago. Amazing view. Took me also about 13 min I think but I actually had to stop once or twice because my legs were killing me. You must be in better shape
Not sure that's possible. Have skied it dozens of times, never made it without skating. Might be doable first thing in the morning, when it's iced over. But, typically, this is the last run of the day, and it's always wet and sloppy after 1030 or 11, due to the southern exposure.
Really can't "ski" the CA side top to bottom because of the mile or more of skating/walking needed to access Roundabout from the base of Powderbowl chair. Most customers ride one of the 2 beginner chairs that get you to the top of Gunbarrel. From there,, they ride the chair or Tram down, unless capable of skiing "The Face".
That particular piece of Roundabout is typically groomed, it, along with the outrun on World Cup are the only "fun" parts of Roundabout. Otherwise, it's just a long traverse to get to the parking lot. Old guys like me use when conditions on "The Face" are bad (most of the time), but consider riding the chair down to be "cheating" If there's snow, you ski down, or it "doesn't count."
Whenever I go skiing I always feel like everyone who’s there is just preparing to join the Finnish army and shoot rifles while coming down the mountain
Ridge Run to Mambo to Swing Trail to Stein's Way to Roundabout. All are pretty easy intermediates, except the 1 mile+ of skating to access Roundabout. Because of the latter, few people do this more than once a day....or in a lifetime.😂 The narrowness of some of these runs would intimidate beginners, but most people could probably handle it after about 8-10 days on the slopes.
Beautiful. Brought back some nice memories when I spent the winter there skibumming in 2003-04.
Damm that brings back some memories. So hard to get back there from the uk with work an family life but 100% will one day

You're in the heart of California/Nevada my friend. Happy Trails.
Love it, I used to and still have skied the same runs as you did, the view was amazing.

Beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing this!
Nice video. Beautiful scenery. Makes me miss skiing.👍
That has to be the longest ski run I've ever seen. Awesome!

Damn you for making it look easy...damn you
καταπληκτική διαδρομή και το τοπίο απίθανο, πολύ ωραίο βίντεο, κ. Κυπριώτη!!!!
nice. too bad you hit some congestion at powderbowl. might have been able to get through roundabout without having to skate
PowderBowl !!!! lol this brings back so many memories

Many thanks for this video.
We used to call then "Thigh burners"
great video! wish it was easier to get to roundabout without walking/skating!
A nice thought, but if that were possible, Roundabout would look like a scene from Mad Max every day. It's just too narrow to handle a lot of traffic.
I liked your decision at 4:33.
Have skied since 1956.
You need me to complete the whatever it is we love.
Maybe.

Ridge run to Mombo to Roundabout to World Cup? With a few short cuts.
Whenever I go skiing I always feel like everyone who’s there is just preparing to join the Finnish army and shoot rifles while coming down the mountain
Looks so fun
I just got back from there, had a great trip.
@notformebeaky He isn't making a joke, he's showing how you are comparing apples to oranges...
notformebeaky dude. You need to ski more and type less
I wish I could go skiing
Wait so you go to one resort and make an assumption on the entirety of the United States? Wow, some small minded people in this world
Were these all blues or? Hard to tell or can you list the trail names or routes?

What run is this?
shoulda went right there to carry more speed & lessen all the pole-diggin', but otherwise- a splendid run!
Next run Gunbarrel.
Some parts are super scary
As long as you can deal with the long narrow stretches, it isn't difficult at all.
What's the name of this run?
Ridge-Mambo-Swing-Steins-Roundabout. In "Vail speak", counts as five runs, but in reality, maybe 1 1/2. 😂😅
Skipped all the blacks lmao
