I have been there a couple of years ago. Amazing. In the midst of the urban noise and pollution, this ashram sits as an oasis of peace. Sri Yukteshvar Giri was also known as the Lion of Bengal.
Very Cool.. now the Lion is chilling on the astral planet of Hiranyaloka helping advanced souls work off their astral karma. Groovy
Please tell me what you felt in the master's ashram. Did you feel his presence? I have long regretted not making better use of my time in India but I was dragged through by one who seemed most interested in visiting popular conversation pieces. Much love ( and a little envy).

I doubt that this body will be able to go there; it is on the other side of the planet , in the Caribbean; the feet can barely walk, eyes barely see. Enjoy your travels. In my search to find MySelf, I came across this book Autobiography of a Yogi, and the Saint that impressed me the most was Sri Yuktesvar Ji. When I look at His picture, I always have the feeling that I knew Him from before. He looks so familiar, so close as if I can feel His Presence. That book was the last book I read that took me to meditation and eventually became a teacher of Transcendental Meditation, as thought by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ji. Jai Guru Dev

Sri Yukteshwar Giri ji is now on the finer astral world called Hrinayloka. He is there as a Savior helping the much advanced astral beings in working out their astral Karma for evolving to the much finer Causal world.

Swamiji at 7:45 is talking about his Guru Hariharananda Giri who was also a direct disciple of Sri Yukteshwar and an associate of Yogananda. He later migrated to US and set up his main Ashram in Florida and many other worldwide ashrams. His direct disciple Sri Pragyananda Giri is my Guru.

Thank you for posting this. The first time I read about Shri Yukteshwar was in the Autobiography of a Yogi. The story about the mosquito and Shri Yukteshwar’s explanation on the nature of “ahimsa” STUNNED me. His guidance was so subtle (absolutely no force, no ego, totally grounded), yet beaming with brilliant discernment that cut through the most subtle and common ignorances. He is the teacher I have been looking for for almost 8 years. I look forward to visiting his Puri ashram someday.

The Mahasamadhi Temple of Sri Yukteswar. I loved it there. All the monks are devotees of Hariharananda and the living Kriya saint Prajnanananda.

How do you know ? is a good question. Unfortunately, the answer can only be found by oneself. Others can tell you this or that or whatever, but it won't mean anything.
You are free to believe that deep meditation is sort of the same as using drugs. Untill you taste inner freedom, it would ony be a theory and not satisfying any deep longing in you.

I read close the half of the book. And lost interest. I never vibed with any of the swamis. I was also on my spiritual path before I started reading the book. Sometimes, things just don't work for you. And I found other things that work for me. By the way, I have much respect for this youtube channel.
You'd need to translate the thick accent of the yogi's comments....

Yes the variety of stories in Autobiography are very inspirational. HOWEVER..comprehensively, Yogananda has created a symphony of stories about a diversity of peoples endeavors to affect their biological progress. His interest in somatic stem cell research in the 1940's displays his microscopic focus on the science of personal human development. His stories aren't meant just to entertain, but show the natural inherent biological energy inside that Kriya techniques , like mathematics, explodes

You may have one of the few english interviews with Yogeswarananda but that does not credit you with knowledge of Gurunaths credibility. I attest to meeting them both whatever that means.

It was an awesome experience to meditate at the samadhi asthal of sri sri swami Yukteswarjee... we went there in the month of February 2020. We also met the current swami ji who taking the work ahead...however our meeting was this swamaji was very unpleasant...Still a highly recommend place to visit...
