I assume this person is an entertainment journalist and broadcaster. If so, shouldn't enunciation and correctitude be a rudimentary part of their remit?
He was also in “Invasion of the Body Snatchers”. I’ll never forget that ending!

I loved Donald Sutherland. Yes he did all those iconic films but he was in such films as Klute (an earlier role with Jane Fonda), A Time to Kill (in which his son Kiefer also starred) and Pride and Prejudice. He came across as a true gentleman and he was a brilliant actor and will be sorely missed. A sad day indeed.
'Don't Look Now' was his best, at least for me.

I also loved him in Invasion of the body snatchers. A classic horror movie that scared the hell out of me when I was a young lad. It gave me the shivers. RIP Donald, a true acting great.

Sadly, the lady has a pronunciation problem with her ‘North and South’.
Sutherland, in Scotland, is North of Sunderland.
Sunderland is South of Sutherland.

If you never watched his portrayal of Clark Clifford in HBO’s Path to War he was great. He played.opposite Michael Gambon who portrayed LBJ, who actually was really great too.

Great actor. I once went to watch them film Revolution in my local park and got chatting to this guy dressed very businesslike and noticed he was from across the Pond. Never thought much of it as we get a lot of Americans in our area. Said he loved the place and the local Cathedral. Anyway, we went on our way and a mate called me over and asked if I k ew who I had been talking to. I didn’t and he replied Donald Sutherland! He was clean shaven and I didn’t have a bloody clue who he was.

A good actor but not a legend like Anthony Hopkins though.
Purely subjective!!! Many consider Donald Sutherland a legendary actor!!! And he was certainly much more prolific than Hopkins…🤷🏻♀️
Brilliant in "EYE OF THE NEEDLE" Unbearable suspense thriller. Think he played a German spy. Hair-raising stuff, set in some remote area in the UK. Must see movie🥸
