  • Seen on “Man's Castle” [October 27, 1933] with Spencer Tracy and Loretta Young. This comes from a 1938 re-release print to capitalize on Tracy’s popularity.

    I think some prints of this pre-Code film also sported the 1950's Screen Gems logo; at least I remember seeing one back in the day.

    Like The Interview and Dirigible, the logo is used with the previous fanfare.

    The model was actress Evelyn Venable in 1936. The logo with 1928 fanfare.

      The fanfare was written in 1928 but the recording definitely is from around 1933, as Columbia during that year decided to arrange the theme with heavier strings. The earlier themes were more brass centric (especially the one for Flight from 1929).

      Evelyn Venable didn't model for the logo. It may be Jane Bartholomew, but there's no early photos from this era of Jane to compare
