Wow.. .yeah... I think I started watching somewhere around 20K... you certainly deserve lots of subs, always good info and interesting stuff. Helped me out a lot.
Your attention to detail on everything you do is unbelievable Cameron! Keep up the great work on your amazing bikes and superb videos showing everything in such detail and precision! Glad to see your looking better mate!
I had some dirt in my airbox one day (Cr125r), and I always wondered how it got in there. I always oiled, cleaned, and greased my air filter after every 2 rides, so I thought I was doing it right. I will get this mod done asap, thank you!!
I'm getting used to that sentence "first of all let's do some cerakote" 😀 you are the master of the cerakote! By the way that solution for the airbox problem was prime 👌🏼
Cameron, this is the type of work that separates you from the other copycat youtubers. They don't have the patience. The details are what inspire. Great work. Great attitude. Great job. Looking forward to the next video. 👌
Brother you inspired me to get a older honda 2stroke just purchased a 07 used and i am now in the same proccess i definitely am no pro but watching these helps drastically and i appreciate the knowledge !!!!
Good morning, Cameron. Just bought a 2002 CR250 and found this video! This is awesome. You do a great job with these videos. Your attention to detail is above and beyond. And I appreciate you having the links in the description. Thanks!!
I knew about this air box problem, only a few weeks back I resealed my sons 2002 cr125 there was no gasket only what seemed to be factory sealant, it turned out to be bit of a marathon. After watching your post I’ve ordered the metal ring seal kit for my 2002 CR250, that looks like it will solve any inherent problems. Thanks for the info Cam. Great video as always
Cam we love ya round my house!!! I love your bike's!!! I'm all cr, my son is 8 and rides a kx 60. I have been building my o1 cr125 with the videos u do!!! Keep up the work bro
A problem I recommended looking at is your Slide on the Cr125r , my slide resently just shattered apart on my 04 Cr125 and it's apparently a common problem 🤦😂
What I do for those little nubs in the air box is just grease the air filter up real nice where it mates with the air box surface and never had a issue. On a 2002 cr125. I do have a 2005 air box boot for more airflow and have one of those cnc air box clamps.
I've got a wr250f I'm mid way though the conversion on. Making a wiring harness to tie it all together should be on the road by next week! Used to have a plated xr100 which was incredibly entertaining around here when traffic is always sub 40mph anyway
Great video Cam perfect solution for the airbox and def best outcome mate. Thankyou so much for sharing cerakote been looking for this product for years heard about but didn't know the name until now awesome..Cheers Cam look forward to your next vid thanks again.
Cameron Niemela Will do, no problem. I’m tied up with life at the moment but hopefully by the end of the year I’ll start messing with my bike. Glad to see you’re doing better & the progress on the 250, keep it up & God bless.
This was the issue with my cr250. I was going thru an engine every 10 hours, breaking pistons and had a ton of wear. Not like you can check if your oil is dirty in a 2 stroke so you get a catastrophic surprise
This isa great vid for figuring out my 2000 cr 250 plastic swap. Cause i gotta run the boot off my bike on the 02-07 airbox to run the 02-07 subframe. This cleared alot up on how i can do that. Thanks!
Good vid dude the air box is a verry over looked part had same issue with my 2003 cr 125 I used a glue gun to seal it all wasnt best looking but sealed it but that kit and slight modding make it clean tidy and oem people over look that some parts from the older model bike's fit newer models and vise verser
KaTM either should support grip or more likely it is supposed to give a bit of material to wear trough until you scratch your boots against the sensitive rubber air boot
Cameron, Thanks for the "free sample" Cerakote tip. I have a 25 year old RWS .22 cal piston spring pellet rifle that needs some Cerakote love on the barrel. :-) Their free sample even comes with free shipping!
@@CameronNiemela Opps.....Oh well. I can try it out on the plastic surrounds of my outside mirrors on my car. Now that I look at their website a bit closer, I see they do have an "air cure" (in 40+ colors even) for metal. :-)
Super sano job on the airbox.....I've had to "invent" methods for sealing airboxes on YZ's, some Husky's, and old XR's. If you detect ANY GRIT in the air boot, guys you've gotta get on this RIGHT NOW! Really great teaching job, Cam! Great to see you with all the facial hair....you must shave with a chainsaw when you shave, lol! Looks like my prayers for you have been answered. Keep the Faith, Gramps
Great video once again! I love them. Once upon a time I watched a video where you linked some air filter skins/nets to help in between washes. I think they were on amazon but I can’t find them. Cameron would you be able to direct me to the link where I can find them? Thanks in advance
Do you recommend doing that on the newer bikes? I’ve taken the air box apart on my 2014 Crf450r to clean/ inspect once a season and always put it back on dry
YOUR ALMOST AT 200K!! You have grown so much and I’m proud. Keep it up man. Your amazing!
Thanks man! I'm stoked!!

Cameron living the dream , looking great n love your quality of work .
Thanks Frank!
Man that cerakote trim restorer seems to be the way to go. Definitely will be looking into them for my kx airbox. Thanks Cam.
Sup Cam! Happy to see ya back on the 250. Clean work as always!

Keith D Thank you Keith!
I can't explain how much I appreciate your work Cam, every video is better than the last one!
Thank you!
So nice to see more videos! I still disassembled, cleaned, and red siliconed my friends 96 cr250r airbox just to make sure crap can’t get in
I had some dirt in my airbox one day (Cr125r), and I always wondered how it got in there. I always oiled, cleaned, and greased my air filter after every 2 rides, so I thought I was doing it right. I will get this mod done asap, thank you!!
Congratulations, it's nice to see how much you do with love, and that's why everything is so well done.
Amazing results on the airbox/boot. I'm happy to see you working on the 250 again.

Love how much care you put into bikes. I would buy one from you anyday with confidence
Just throwing this out there how about powder coat red frame, that would look so sweet, I did it to my trx250r frame & I love it
Man when this bike is totally done it’s gonna be way better than new keep em coming man I love these vids
Good to see you are feeling better and getting back to the 250!
Cameron, that was the best solution to that problem I've seen.
Nice Video mate !!!! The sealing on my 99` CR 125 is much better. Cant wait to see the first start of the 250. Such a dream Bike
Thanks man! Yeah the earlier air boots seal way better
Fine work once again! It’s this kind of attention to detail that really sets your work apart. Ceracoating those plates black for instance, nice.
Thanks Robert!
Cameron Niemela you bet. You got a really big fan right here young man!

Looking great already! Stay strong and healthy bro!

Hey cameron, love your videos man really good content. Actually I watch them because it relaxes me. 👌
I love the cr250 content cam, keep it coming!!!
The mx bones kit works great for my cr 250. First mod I did when rebuilding. Deff a must
WOO!! The CR with freshly redone airbox with a colorful sunset behind it! Another great job improving the CR250.
Thanks Paul!

Terence Brown Thanks for watching Terence! You’ll be all set with using the rings
I use the Loud mouth set up on my 03. I hated the odd shaped OEM filter. Works well and super easy to change filters in between Motos
Amazing content from cam once again, never fails to amaze
Thanks!
Captain Cam’s tech tips 101 always the best man!!!
I can't wait to see this bike finished.
Hey cam, just wanted to say I’ve been here since 30k!👌 can’t wait for the finished product on this build

I did this mod on my 02 cr250r. It seals the air filter better also. Only $60
Aww yeah! She's coming together!
Awesome mod i haven't even checked my 2019 Honda's air box yet since I haven't really got to ride it hard. Great video as usual buddy.
Love your videos so much!.! Can’t wait to see some more improvements on the 250 and the xr80

*SUZUKI RM's uses a 'foam' gasket as well the 2 stroke 2000's on up until 2008 -- 2 STROKES*
Did not saw it yet but already love it. Your content is just to good😍
The dual lip and metal mounting for the Airbox is exactly what the CR85 uses.
2001 cr250 uses the metal mounting plates. 2002 was the downfall of the cr250s
Almost 200K That's crazy keep up the good work!
Thanks man!
Thanx for another great video 👍🏻 that airbox looks better than new!! 💯🔥👊🏻 Keep up the good work! Can't wait for more cr250 videos!!
Keep these cr250 videos coming! 👍👍
When I bought my '02 it had a PC Racing seal, and still got dust in the air box!! MX Bonz kit was the solution!!
Glad it worked for you!
By the way I would love to see you try the clear cerakote on that other stock pipe of yours.
Great video as usual. I was wondering why I had a cool red aluminum plate there. I bought an 03 last summer and someone had it dialed in.
Thanks! Sounds like you're already set up!
I just finished watching the video; I'm so using the trim coat on my truck, thanks!
Thanks for watching man! If you like it, write a review over on the Cerakote website!

Love all your vids man very professionally done wish there were more sooner then later as you said a bit too short but still good job
Great as always and your looking well dude.

Best channel bro you habe so much time in that bike dude its going to be a perfect nice bike
Awesome video man
Top shelf as always bud !
It would be so cool If u could get a rider and get this bike raced at redbull straight rhythm 2019 that would be so sick

Legit just went fishing and the first thing I did was check this. THANK YOU CAMERON!
Thanks for watching man!
@@CameronNiemela Thanks for the great vids!
*Air boot leaks in dirt and people pressure wash opening it up more*
Can that ceramic stuff be used on the outside plastics? Or will the decals not stick
Yep, it can be used on any type of plastic
Nice 👍 that’s the same design my RM250 has, I used the red RTV sealant.
What improvements is there to be made to the 2000 cr250 please, im restoring my new bike
I have been waiting so long for this
What, been waiting for this video and its way too short....
But still nice
Does someone knows why there is this cubic shape / drawing on the air boot ?

PhillipZX3 Yes, it’ll work perfect for that. The actual Cerakote ceramic coating is what you’re after for the gun.
Can you try to do anodising please Cameron it would really help me with my build
A loudmouth setup would seal it and make filter changes easier
Och get the build Done already!!
Is it ok not to use the single metal plate that is between the boot and the airbox?
Need to do this on my Honda 125 #2005
Are you going to put a 19 restyle kit on the cr250 or stick with 03 plastics
Do a super bike build next I’d love to see you style street bike build
Older Hayabusa would be great.

Would the cerakote trim coat work on restoring my windshield cowl?
As long as it's plastic it'll work
Cameron Niemela Yes it is, thanks for the reply!
I have a 2002 cr125r and can't find the right and left power valve flappers where could I look , do they even make those parts anymore
Great video once again! I love them. Once upon a time I watched a video where you linked some air filter skins/nets to help in between washes. I think they were on amazon but I can’t find them. Cameron would you be able to direct me to the link where I can find them? Thanks in advance
Thanks for watching! These are the filter skins www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/pc-racing-filter-skins-p

Wicked video man where do you buy these ali clamps from Aswell as the gasket seal?
Do you recommend doing that on the newer bikes? I’ve taken the air box apart on my 2014 Crf450r to clean/ inspect once a season and always put it back on dry
The newer CRF450s didn't have a problem with the leaking air boot, but doesn't hurt to have a little sealant on it
Okay thanks man 🤙🏽
Cant wait for start up bad ass build!👍
