Jimi REALLY starts to Let The Good Times Roll at 1:14. Even after 54 years this still sounds incredible. I wore out that Electric Ladyland album in 1968 especially the grooves on this song, "Crosstown Traffic", "Voodoo Child", and "Gypsy Eyes". Wish I still had it mint.

imho, this is Hendrix at his best . these journalists and writers who never listened to even a fraction JH's repertoire will write or tell you Purple Haze is Jimi's greatest song . utter nonsense . a lot of studio and live recordings are better than Haze & this is one of the best . It's the same in a music appreciation course . Professors will tell you this is Debussy's, Beethoven's, Ravel's, Dvorjak's, Mozart's etc greatest opus, don't believe them.
