Nikolas, nice acting and videography! The video clip is wonderful! The haircut is wonderful. You had a beautiful head of hair. However you look wonderful with a clean head! I keep my head cleanly shaven. I love it. Take care of yourself!
I am a film critic (over 1,050 reviews on Rottentomatoes) and have a circle of friends in the film. One of them, Jim Driscoll, Ph.D., told me a student at Stanford brought your short to his attention. Like Jim I found your film smart and well done. Jim has been wondering if there were some ways to help raise your flag in arenas less crowded than UA-cam. Perhaps U.S. film festivals looking for short, short films? Since Jim has been championing you, perhaps you should contact him. And good luck! Victoria
+Victoria Alexander Yes, I speack with him in private. I don't know the film festivals in the United States, but this can be a good idea. I will check. Thanks for your attention. I'm glad to have your opinion as a film critic. Again thank you and sorry for my English. Nikolas :)
+Nikolas Aguettaz Very inventive, original film for the type, tho it would have been bolder to show more of the actual shaving. Why not try another go at it?
My problem is the sharpness. I have a Sigma 30mm 1.4 and the lens is very sharp when it comes to photos, but the video-footage... I'm not very satisfied with. Whats your secret? Which lens do you use?
I am hobby photographer, never did video work, but your video makes me wonder why I didn't try videography :) Do you think 50mm would work as good for videography? I am currently in the market for a 35mm or 50mm lens, more for the photography part as said, but maybe videography is something I'd like to try out. Also, do you have a special head for your tripod? I assume a standard ball head is not that good for videography? I've seen more specialized tripods heads I think.
Yep, also proud owner of the D7100 :) My concern with 35mm is that maybe get a bit too close to subjects, but I like the lens quality a lot, and your video shows that well. But with 50mm my concern is street photography and too narrow for that. It would be great to get both, but for now I have decide for one of both. I think these are bokeh wonders too considering the low price.
Amazing short film! Honestly, it looks so much better. After hearing all those rude things he said to you, i would've pulled him into the bathroom and done the same thing to his hair! Hope you liked it because there's no going back 😂 you look very handsome and so would the other man with same haircut as you.
+Nikolas Aguettaz my problem not having enough life in low light settings.. I made a movie "freshie - last chance" and in the last scenes (at night) you can tell what I'm talking about. Any advice?
This was actually pretty funny, definitely recommended to watch. Wish you had gone for a more washed out de-saturated colour style, but other than that 6/6.
Merci !
Was all this lighting natural? The problem I'm having as that the location I'm trying to shoot (my home) is almost always dul-ley lit. Very good by the way!

did you use manual focus? And how did you get such good sound quality? It's so good!
+Michelle Read Yes, I use manual focus ! For the sound, I use the "Zoom H1". Thanks :)
Did you film the whole thing with Nikon D7100 and that lens?
yes ! :)
+Nikolas Aguettaz my problem not having enough life in low light settings.. I made a movie "freshie - last chance" and in the last scenes (at night) you can tell what I'm talking about. Any advice?
+Nikolas Aguettaz not having enough light*
Do you have autofocus?? or manual focus?? Because your camera dont make sound with focussing
+NormalNick always manual focus ! ;)
Do you have a person that is behind the camera??
+NormalNick no, i did everything alone :)
Oww oke but how can you see that you are good in the focus?? with manual focus
+NormalNick It's complicated, in fact, I do many tests before. Sometimes I put something in front of the camera to replace me ^^
aperture used in the 35mm??? Looks so great!!!!
read the description ;)
Nikolas Aguettaz 1,8 in all video? thanks for response

Hello joli travail! J’ai lu que tu filmes avec un D7100 et un 35mm. Quels réglages utilises-tu? Quel micro? Et quel logiciel de montage stp? Merci
Merci !
what movie settings did you use man?
Probably DX crop and used a blue hue in editing. Just a guess though
How did you make it so wide? I don't know how to do it, I have the same camera.
Neo Music It's so wide because I added black bands ("cropping") in post-production to make a cinematic look ;)
Do you mean by editing in the computer?
Neo Music Yes, with Adobe Premiere Pro.
I see... thank you Nikolas... greetings from Mexico.
You're welcome ! :)
Was all this lighting natural? The problem I'm having as that the location I'm trying to shoot (my home) is almost always dul-ley lit. Very good by the way!
