I have white cabinets and my counters are black with some kind of specks on it and I I love them. I always have my cabinets clean I guess is depents on how clean you are as soon as I cook I check mines and If I see anything I wipe them down. I don't like dark cabinets it make the house looks dark.
Why worry about the color? What I question is how anyone can spend time and cook in such boring kitchens. Where is the Italian olive oil jug, the Japanese ginger jar, the French copper pots, the Spanish iron caddy, the assortment of German chopping knives, the picture-perfect Caravaggio basket of fruit, the Mexican garlic string, fresh herbs, coiled baskets, etc? The list is long and so are the colors they create when you style your kitchen to be functional and interesting at the same time. No need to litter a counter with matching IKEA or Target items. The world is full of unique treasures. Color your world, don't color your cabinets.
Yeah too bland for me as well. i love the items that are collected over time and have a history and a personal meaning to the owner, and used as decor, in the kitchen and elsewhere
I don’t consider white hard to keep clean! It’s easier to see when it’s dirty, so I clean mine more! When they are not white and it hides the spills and stuff, that’s just gross because it’s not clean. I painted my kitchen cabinets white 20 years ago. They were dark and dated. They still look fresh white. I live in the house my dad built himself with just a little help in 1962. My mom originally stained them cherry. I grew up here and then raised my own family here. I love my white cabinets. We put butcher block countertops in and it looks great.
There's a very very good reason why kitchen cabinets are always painted white 😮 They are the best 😊 If you wanna go color, awesomeness, but just know, white is best, heh.
I had recently stripped the teal color off my bathroom cabinets and painted them white. More cons: Applying a poly to protect them from chipping turns them yellow. They also will show every imperfection in the paint job. I ended up stripping my oak cabinets again, sanded them, and applied weathered oak stain, and changed out the hardware. So much better and easier than painting them white.
I just painted my kitchen white and I didn't want to but I love it. I was originally going for navy blue but after painting the first cabinet I realized that was to dark for my 100 ft galley kitchen. I next went with Ben Moores white Dove and hated it after painting one cabinet as well. Too much yellow in the undertone made it look dingy. I finally landed on pure white by sherwin williams and it is perfect.
Im trying to save money and paint over my cabinets that were already painted by previous owner the flower is faux wood brown tile with some darker tones as the wood grains etc the color on the cabinets now are a horrible brown appliances are SS im thinking to use urbane bronzed or cheating heart ive painted a black in my last apartment and it actually looked great however im nervous the darker colors with a brownish floor ? Help

I have white too and i love them. Not tired of them. I have granite with lots of movement and the cabinets look best in white. Balance!
Very small kitchens benefit from white. Too much colour will enclose the space and make it feel smaller.
