First it was "I turned into the heroine..!" then the villainess, then a side character and then they tried to change it up by reincarnating the heroine to and/or making her evil and the villainess good and then there was the steal-your-hubby (aka the ML) villainess and then the villain 🤝villainess troupe. But by far the villainess genre takes the cake- they're always like "aren't I supposed to be the heroine?!?" when it's way too common to turn into the villainess.
Lately there are alot of webtoons were the girl gets reincarnated into a book story and she knows the whole book and everyone hates their character in the story but because she doesn't act my the character she reincarnated as everyone suddenly loves her but she doesn't sees it and sometimes even insults them and is all like "i dont need nobody" even if family and handsome MC show obviously that they like her... That get a little repetitive as well. What do you think?
i think they do that so they don't have to develop the character as a person in their new environment because thats alot more work as far as planning out the story line. so they throw out the lazy 'everyone doesn't like me don't get my hopes up and cause any trouble for them' personality trope and were supposed to eat it all up.
unpopular opinion, killing stalking is an amazingly written manhwa and the art is amazing. by far one of the best manhwas i have ever read. best psychological thriller ive ever read so far, and i will argue my point to anybody.
The problem with lookism is that they have so many side characters and they all are extremely powerful or traumatized, so they give backstories to every character, I’ve read it and stopped halfway because the story wasn’t even focusing on the mc anymore
The best representative of clothe hugging the body is the tight black tee (often double as fake turtle-neck). It's clearly a "I drew this character naked and added black to make it seem like they' wearing something" (sometimes they add a vest on top, but it's still there under it! 😅)

I remember reading Killing staling on some other site and there were a lot of comments like "Oh sangawoo yumy". I didn't pay much attention to it, but I remember that about halfway through the second part, they stopped. No comments, people disappeared. I guess he were to little to simp about xd

I totally get you on true beauty, it was interesting in the beginning but then the plot went everywhere and I ended up dropping it. I always say the manhwa is better whenever there's a live action but in true beauty's case according to me the kdrama was way better.

"fast food webtoon" is the most perfect definition for historical/reincarnation/back in time webtoons i've ever heard. I already read that plot at least a 3000 times? Yes. Still gonna read it? Of course. I do the same with Mc Donalds. I always act like "Im gonna buy something different today" and then spend 30 min looking at the options and still choosing McMelt.

no guys i fight for lookism it never lost its plot. it had parts about looks but the plot was about “WHERE TF DID THIS BODY COME FROM??!?!?!!” and all these arcs (workers, hostle, etc) were daniel trying to find clues on where it came from (like finding out what DG knows and how, and doing what Gun said to do so he can get clues, and figuring out james lee)

Well i think the extra high light and saturation and lighting in colour preceves more pleasing to brain that why most people like extra details in the characters of storys it may appear pretty dumb to most people who work with art and when it comes to a highly shaped, square,simitrical body its all just to met dead line because mahuwa writers have other of their storys progressing which lead to an excessive shortage of time so they some times make chapters either plainly detailed or sperate them in half And people who didn't work with art focus more on texts then art it self Lol I hope you understand This is just my opinion If i missed somewhere you can correct me I'll really appreciate that 👍

about wonky art: I'm reading a webtoon that's pretty solid, but sometimes the anatomy goes WILD. there was a romantic scene going on and I couldn't stop laughing, cause the MC's neck was as long as a giraffe's. another general mistake I see quite often is making the pinky finger as big as the other fingers... it bugs me to no end
you reminded me how much obsessed i was with "kiss me liar" but I don't get why, the art style always starts bad, then it becomes super good but THEN it always ends up with super tiny heads and super big bodies and yaoi hands. i noped when the guy got a kid...yeah omegaverse is nice but the pregnant kid thing throws me just off--- but the heads became really tinier and tinier and tinier and the hands and bodies bigger...like what the heck why is it with every asian webtoon like this...xD i draw fancomic (I won't call it webtoon since webtoons are for mobile and often lazy with no bg or gradients whatsoever) and I often put LOTS of text. because out of my experience if you especially have a target audience that isn't the most focused thtey get it all wrong or not at all. especially if the comic is psychological or about mental illnesses and you put so much effort on any tiny bit of body language mimic and gestures- and they don'T see it and ask what happened. then you HAVE to explain it via text...it is sad but I absolutely get mad if 10 people are confused or ask me the same if the clue was already given or best- if it was even said in the text . There are 2 types of stories (written and drawn). one is the obvious story that gives you right the thing in your face , most comics do this and most books. But there are short story types when the informations that are important are added bit by bit and you need to remember them to put the big picture together in the end.

I’ll be honest, I disagree with lookism. The whole point was Daniel trying to find out the secret about his second body(the sub plot being about looks) sure it’s fast paced, and there’s plenty of plot holes but it’s still amazing. 🤷🏼♀️
At 3:42 the Webtoon is Lost in Translation by Jjolee, and she regularly makes the lips massive. Probably my favorite Webtoon though (I followed it from age 13 to 17)
I felt that critique about True Beauty! In my opinion it lost the plot super early on its life when it abandoned half of the FMC's storyline. I started reading because I liked the duality between her life as an average girl with hobbies and a personality, and a girl who felt pressured to chase after pretty privilege. But then the comic became overly focused on all the superficial perks of beauty and the whole story lost its substance. The FMC became bland, the MMC was just as bland, and then the love rival didn't come in until half way through the first arc as if the creator realized how bland the first guy was so she had to add a character with some spice. I read the comic again a couple years later and was surprised that not only was it still running, but...someone was becoming a kpop traineee?!? It felt so random, and I was so over it lol. I prefer the k-drama because it has a coherent storyline and stays true to the FMCs identity. The webcomic though? Ehhhhhh.....

I remember reading Killing staling on some other site and there were a lot of comments like "Oh sangawoo yumy". I didn't pay much attention to it, but I remember that about halfway through the second part, they stopped. No comments, people disappeared. I guess he were to little to simp about xd

I totally get you on true beauty, it was interesting in the beginning but then the plot went everywhere and I ended up dropping it. I always say the manhwa is better whenever there's a live action but in true beauty's case according to me the kdrama was way better.

And its funny you mention Teenage mercenary, study group, how to fight because those are literally so similar to lookism, I think some of them are even in the PTJ verse if im not mistaken so the plots are kinda linked

no guys i fight for lookism it never lost its plot. it had parts about looks but the plot was about “WHERE TF DID THIS BODY COME FROM??!?!?!!” and all these arcs (workers, hostle, etc) were daniel trying to find clues on where it came from (like finding out what DG knows and how, and doing what Gun said to do so he can get clues, and figuring out james lee)

Well i think the extra high light and saturation and lighting in colour preceves more pleasing to brain that why most people like extra details in the characters of storys it may appear pretty dumb to most people who work with art and when it comes to a highly shaped, square,simitrical body its all just to met dead line because mahuwa writers have other of their storys progressing which lead to an excessive shortage of time so they some times make chapters either plainly detailed or sperate them in half
And people who didn't work with art focus more on texts then art it self

you reminded me how much obsessed i was with "kiss me liar" but I don't get why, the art style always starts bad, then it becomes super good but THEN it always ends up with super tiny heads and super big bodies and yaoi hands. i noped when the guy got a kid...yeah omegaverse is nice but the pregnant kid thing throws me just off--- but the heads became really tinier and tinier and tinier and the hands and bodies bigger...like what the heck why is it with every asian webtoon like this...xD
i draw fancomic (I won't call it webtoon since webtoons are for mobile and often lazy with no bg or gradients whatsoever) and I often put LOTS of text. because out of my experience if you especially have a target audience that isn't the most focused thtey get it all wrong or not at all. especially if the comic is psychological or about mental illnesses and you put so much effort on any tiny bit of body language mimic and gestures- and they don'T see it and ask what happened. then you HAVE to explain it via text...it is sad but I absolutely get mad if 10 people are confused or ask me the same if the clue was already given or best- if it was even said in the text .
There are 2 types of stories (written and drawn). one is the obvious story that gives you right the thing in your face , most comics do this and most books.
But there are short story types when the informations that are important are added bit by bit and you need to remember them to put the big picture together in the end.

I’ll be honest, I disagree with lookism. The whole point was Daniel trying to find out the secret about his second body(the sub plot being about looks) sure it’s fast paced, and there’s plenty of plot holes but it’s still amazing. 🤷🏼♀️

At 3:42 the Webtoon is Lost in Translation by Jjolee, and she regularly makes the lips massive. Probably my favorite Webtoon though (I followed it from age 13 to 17)

I felt that critique about True Beauty!
In my opinion it lost the plot super early on its life when it abandoned half of the FMC's storyline. I started reading because I liked the duality between her life as an average girl with hobbies and a personality, and a girl who felt pressured to chase after pretty privilege. But then the comic became overly focused on all the superficial perks of beauty and the whole story lost its substance. The FMC became bland, the MMC was just as bland, and then the love rival didn't come in until half way through the first arc as if the creator realized how bland the first guy was so she had to add a character with some spice. I read the comic again a couple years later and was surprised that not only was it still running, but...someone was becoming a kpop traineee?!? It felt so random, and I was so over it lol.
I prefer the k-drama because it has a coherent storyline and stays true to the FMCs identity. The webcomic though? Ehhhhhh.....
