Gerties Bar & Restaurant, Taste Leitrim's Shannon Erne Blueway

Gerties Canal Stop is a family owned bar and restaurant that is passionate about serving first class food at reasonable prices in a warm and cosy atmosphere. There is traditional Irish music on a Thursday, good craic and always a roaring fire in the heart. A must visit venue, it is always full of the local people who add to the charm of the place, if you don't visit, you will never know what you missed and if you do visit you will be hooked.

We couldnt have hoped or wished to have landed in a more beautiful,scenic and friendly spot than Keshcarrigan Des and his wife Kathleen who own "Gerties" are a lovely friendly couple and nothing is too much trouble when they are looking after their patrons and, as Des says in the video they treat everyone as their neighbours and friends I have never seen the like before and may never again.Well worth a visit but,be warned, too much craic maybe be exhausting if you are not used to it! ;)
