Easy DUTCH BABY PANCAKE | with BERRY COMPOTE recipe | German Pancake Recipe | Breakfast Ideas

Hey guys! been away for a while but I'm back! In this video I'll be sharing you another pancake recipe which is so easy to make! This DUTCH BABY PANCAKE is one of my favourite pancake recipe!
I actually first tried this in a cafe and really love it but unfortunately the service of that cafe was not good that's why I'll not be coming back and thought why not make my own dutch berry pancake instead! (you can check my IG account about my visit to that cafe 😉). It was actually so easy to make! even the berry compote too and included a recipe on how to make it!

INGREDIENTS:
Berry compote:
2 cups frozen or fresh berries
2 tbsp orange juice
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
1 tbsp chia seeds (optional)
Dutch Baby Pancake:
3 large eggs
1/2 cup whole or evaporated milk
2 tbsp sugar
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup flour
4 tbsp unsalted butter
confectioners sugar for dusting
Pointers:
- All the ingredients must be in room temp
- I used my hand blender so it’s quite difficult to dump everything.. but if you have regular blender, dump everything in!
- Aside from blender, you can also use a hand mixer!
- Let the batter rest for 20 min to let the flour be really absorbed in the mixture
- Bake the pancake for 15-20 min, and bake until it’s puffed, lightly brown across the top and darker brown on the sides and edges
- berry compote is not the only one topping you can add in this pancake! You can add ready made jams of any fruits, or fresh fruits! And you can also make it savoury by adding salmon or ham into it! Endless possibilities! Or as simple as only dusting it with powdered sugar can be enough!
- If you don’t have cast iron skillet, you can also use the glass pie dish.
