I own a 2012 vw vento 1.6 tdi , and have clocked 1 lakh and 15 thousand kms , I did my obligatory 3 services with the vw a s s to be eligible for warranty claims . After this period I started getting my car serviced by the neighbourhood mechanic , sourcing all the inputs like engine oil , oil filter , air filter , a/c pollen filter , dot 4 brake fluid ( top up ) G13 coolant ( pink- for top up ) plus the usual vacuum cleaning of the interiors and a foam body and tyre wash . All this costs me just about 5 to 6 thousand only , including the mechanics labour charges , so far I have only changed my break pads a couple of times , which is a problem specific job and is not a part of the regular service. Cost of the inputs. Castrol edge superem edge 5 w 30 ( vw spec ) Rs 450 × 4 .5 litres Oil filter ( purolater) Rs 350/- Airfilter ( purolater) Rs 450/- A/c pollen filer ( purolater) Rs 350,/- G13 pink coolant Rs 480/ litre ( good for 2 services) Dot 4 brake fluid top bottel Rs 250/- ( good for 2 services) the rest is labour , all this is done in time frame of 3 hours . The a s s charges around 15 to 17 thousands . As a lot of misconceptions exists about vw , let me assure you their cars are the best of German tech but the will literally loot you with their service charges + gst . So to make this long story short, excellent car , bad service policy, if you are sharp and know your way with the car it will serve you with out any trouble for at least of 4 lakh kms .

@6:58 - nothing as such happens. Once I forgot to torque the drain plug properly - it flew off while driving. Stopped at the nearest parking lot and replaced with a spare one and topped up with 1 litre extra oil which I had. Engine is still fine. 2011 Bmw 528xi.
According to my expectations car would run upto 10 lacs kms, with a condition that all services are done on time, and all the Volkswagen recommended parts are replaced in time like V tensioner, timing belt etc. My car is in mint condition with good mileage, better pick-up.

Got my Ameo 1.5 TDI serviced today at capital Delhi 75k km for just 8k, oil change+oil filter+diesel filter+air filter+pollen filter+coolant topup+windscreen washer liquid topup+ fused parking light front+cleaning n washing. The only thing i did not opt for was wheel balancing and alignment. This is the minimum. Got it done right infront of my eye.

It’s a high maintenance car, the engine condition is superb as any part in engine with a slightest flaw gets replaced at authorised service centre. Just get the service done right. I expect at-least 500k kms for vento and polo both.

Hello sir, From some of the comments I understood that you haven’t changed the fuel injectors till now. What precautions you have taken to avoid any injector problems? Like filling fuel from one particular station or any thing like that.
Look I get my car serviced on regular intervals as suggested by Volkswagen. I often change whatever parts suggested to me by advisor or company. And I haven’t done anything extra ordinary and I have intercity run so fuel I have always got from reliance or Bharat petroleum.

Post purchase I have done few work like normal servicing and eager valve from outside I am facing issue like, when I am running at 140+ speed, oil icon blinks, but it is not frequent issue Also I want to do some internal customozationnas well as external like headlight and outside upgradation So shall I go with vento dealer , or take it outside service station
Look for engine related issue visit the authorised workshop, and issue which with headlamp, painting, suspension u can surely check with local workshops.
Good video bro, but how much did VW charge for your water pump, pulley, and timing belt replacement @ 1.35k service. Also, I'm interested to know if you have changed brake fluid anytime?. One more tip as a VW owner is that you could source parts and save that 3k as well as regular service is a very easy job, keeping aside the "taking the car to the sky" part (that made me laugh nice one :D).

Once I was in an accident ... at that time they didn’t had this tie up thing with New India but the process was pretty simple i just informed my insurance company they sent a guy to Volkswagen and then he managed everything pretty well... I got my car after 15 days. Now, I prefer 3rd party insurance as it’s a 8 year old car, because cover after all these years is not so great.

Also, I understand from the U tubers that EGR cleaning has to be done after every 1,00,000 kms for Diesel cars but VW service chart doesn't mention anything about it. Can you educate us on this. @@RISHVlogs didn't understand your comment 😁 I've been putting clinic plus / any other shampoo without conditioner in my washer fluid and cleaning wiper blades with a damp cloth regularly. My windscreen works better after 7 years than even some new cars who run the wiper directly without water when a lot of dust is there😁
Putting a little bit of shampoo works best because it dissolves away the dirt and oil quickly and doesn't let the wipers rub the dirt on the glass for a long time. It makes a lot of difference in night driving which is what I do a lot.
This time these guyes charged me 2900 in the name of Germ kill saying it is mandatory. Also they said some noise coming from rear which I never heard of. So I asked them OK check it. They reverted saying suspension bushes are worn out, so I said OK replace them and what is the cost. Got the reply Bushes are not available but we don't replace bush you have replace suspension and quoted me 60000/-.for all. This was shock for me. I said don't do it. Fender indicator wasn't working. They said 6000 including wiring and butt connector. I said leave it. They charged me 830 for 3M paint protect. I always go personally but this time I had asked for pick up. So this time 2900+830 ka chuna lag gaya. RS. 400 ka 3M wax aata hein uses Saal bhar Gadi ka waxing ho sakta hein

These are the tricks to extract handsome amount of money from your pocket, I haven’t got any germ killing process done to my car since I have bought the vehicle, waxing is shit don’t get it done straight forward deny it. Regarding suspension visit a local dealer he will provide you bushes and get it replaced.
Bruh, Basically if you are blowing fuses and smoking gauges, too much current is being run through the gauges, This can be caused by a short or non working regulator caused by a bad ground or fused points in the regulator. IT's made worse if the sending wire is shorted or if your fuel tank is full. Get to an authorised service centre, let them analyse the problem and do as per they recommend u. Don’t trust local mechanics they might ruin your car more

What i feel they charge extra but they fixed your problem not just kam chalu... Spare part are too costly. Just an example the silencer cots itself 51000.
Boss I have Polo 1.2(P) highline, last year service mechanic told me that in my next service I have to change shocker & Steering rack, So I just inquire him how much it cost me, So he roughly told me that for Steering rack it cost me around 16k & for all shockers it will be 11k. Will it be okay to do both from outside rather than Service station.
I don’t prefer unauthorised service stations but it’s suspension so you can go for it. Be kind on yourself choose a good mechanic and buy good grade parts.
Trust me dear it’s not. Labour cost in lucknow is nearly 1/3rd, if u get your car serviced outside. I think wherever you went and paid this much my dear frnd you were looted.

My friend drive hyundai accent for 4.5 lac kms and it's still running and that too at 1/4 th of the service cost of polo or vento...... Check for the suspension of the car, timing would cost your nearly 20000, and clutch would cost you 20-25k.

TBH brother zero times, still using the same clutch provided by the Volkswagen, no adjustments in injectors is done so far.

I don’t trust the meter I go by tank to tank method.

Average issue only in city 7 to 8 km service centered also not found problem.

Also, I understand from the U tubers that EGR cleaning has to be done after every 1,00,000 kms for Diesel cars but VW service chart doesn't mention anything about it. Can you educate us on this. Have u done the EGR cleaning. If not, is your car throwing black smoke or is the pickup reduced.
7:30 put clinic plus 1 rupee sache shampoo in washer fluid bottle in engine bay. Works better than dealership liquid at 1/200 the cost.
I would suggest don’t put anything that work 200 times better than putting clinic plus and stuff.
@@RISHVlogs didn't understand your comment 😁 I've been putting clinic plus / any other shampoo without conditioner in my washer fluid and cleaning wiper blades with a damp cloth regularly. My windscreen works better after 7 years than even some new cars who run the wiper directly without water when a lot of dust is there😁
Putting a little bit of shampoo works best because it dissolves away the dirt and oil quickly and doesn't let the wipers rub the dirt on the glass for a long time. It makes a lot of difference in night driving which is what I do a lot.

This time these guyes charged me 2900 in the name of Germ kill saying it is mandatory. Also they said some noise coming from rear which I never heard of. So I asked them OK check it. They reverted saying suspension bushes are worn out, so I said OK replace them and what is the cost. Got the reply Bushes are not available but we don't replace bush you have replace suspension and quoted me 60000/-.for all. This was shock for me. I said don't do it. Fender indicator wasn't working. They said 6000 including wiring and butt connector. I said leave it. They charged me 830 for 3M paint protect. I always go personally but this time I had asked for pick up. So this time 2900+830 ka chuna lag gaya. RS. 400 ka 3M wax aata hein uses Saal bhar Gadi ka waxing ho sakta hein
Oh man ! These are the tricks to extract handsome amount of money from your pocket, I haven’t got any germ killing process done to my car since I have bought the vehicle, waxing is shit don’t get it done straight forward deny it.
Regarding suspension visit a local dealer he will provide you bushes and get it replaced.

Bruh, Basically if you are blowing fuses and smoking gauges, too much current is being run through the gauges, This can be caused by a short or non working regulator caused by a bad ground or fused points in the regulator. IT's made worse if the sending wire is shorted or if your fuel tank is full. Get to an authorised service centre, let them analyse the problem and do as per they recommend u. Don’t trust local mechanics they might ruin your car more

Hello there, I was getting happy that my Laura 2.0 TDi covered 2.32 lac kms but with ur mileage in vento, sure my Laura will last more like 1 lac kms. As I also always prefer OEM service centers.

Well whatever be the additional cost which Authorized service center charges ,,, there will be sense of satisfaction and comfort...so Go with authorized center since its NOT EVERYBODY's cup of tea to service VW. Not every mechanic can service VW.....

Their is nothing bad it’s high maintenance. If your pocket allows good expenses then go for it .
Boss I have Polo 1.2(P) highline, last year service mechanic told me that in my next service I have to change shocker & Steering rack, So I just inquire him how much it cost me, So he roughly told me that for Steering rack it cost me around 16k & for all shockers it will be 11k. Will it be okay to do both from outside rather than Service station.
I don’t prefer unauthorised service stations but it’s suspension so you can go for it. Be kind on yourself choose a good mechanic and buy good grade parts.

Trust me dear it’s not. Labour cost in lucknow is nearly 1/3rd, if u get your car serviced outside. I think wherever you went and paid this much my dear frnd you were looted.
Go for maruti ecstar washer sachet it will cost u 15rs .its good and it will do the job 👌🏻

My friend drive hyundai accent for 4.5 lac kms and it's still running and that too at 1/4 th of the service cost of polo or vento...... More importantly I am running hyundai from past 12 years and 1 lakh 5000 kms done and my average service cost is 3500(includes break pads, v and timing belt change when reqd., timely wheel alignment and load balancing and all other minor expenses including)excluded battery and tyres.
