We are in November 2021 - full covid ahead! A lot of time to listen to the good old stuff. And remembering the glory and better days! So i picked out all the Forbidden stuff i own. Still kicks ass today. Brilliant song writing. Bought their 1st album back in the late 1980ies. Was totally blown away from their 2nd masterpiece "Twisted into form" which is awesome - still today. Sadly, i never saw them live here in germany. They are top of my "to see list" together with Nasty Savage and Flotsam & Jetsam which i never saw though. Greetings from germany.
Definitely one of the best thrash bands to come out of the Bay Area!!! At the end of the thrash movement in the early 90's forbidden and testament were the last bands standing!!! Love and respect for them!!
I saw these guys in 89 or 90 opening for death angel and testament and the Cuban Club in Tampa! Opened my eyes to how thrash is supposed to sound and all that fucking hair and solos just had me blown away! Shit, I was beside myself and near a crazy pit! Cheers to Forbidden! Whammy bar to the hilt! Thrash forever!
Holy shit, they were absolutely on FIRE. Shredding solos, Russ on pitch, hitting every high note, tight as hell and this recording is actually pretty damn good. The guitar smash was well deserved. I regret not having a chance to see them back in the day.
Sorry to reply 4 years later haha but you're absolutely right. The clarity and definition of the recording is amazing. So many of these old thrash tapes have guitars sounding like static noise or you only hear the out of tune notes. But here you can make out every chunky riff and hard-hit drum fill
Yes, agree also Metal Church was one of the very best and also Gravedigger (Heavy Metal Breakdown) and Savatage (Sirens). These bands should have been right up there with anyone.
A class A concert. I'd see this over all existing bands...exceptions are Kreator, Laaz Rockit, Coroner, and Destruction in those days. Why is Metallica and such bands rich? Thrash is where it's at, in my opinion.
omg they are so bad ass live.. i mean they have to be the most overlooked and underrated from that wonderful moment that i miss so bad and wish it would return.. But it cant..its ok..i may be old..but i got to see all the cool shows..lol.. this video?..5 star world class top notch performance right here..thank you
Awesome. One of the best underrated thrash metal bands of all time. Hail Forbidden.
Killer band. Personally thought the singer held them back
@@danielsleazer2163 Well actually not, I think is a plus for the band because back in the days, bands has to be original.
He sounded like every other copy cat singer. Like a poor man's singer from grimreaper
@@danielsleazer2163bullshit
I was at this show, holy crap; what a great show... 1988

They crush! Amazing band!
Forbidden was the hidden jewel in the sea of thrash metal bands..
I wished they could be a bigger band and compete with testament, anthrax, exodus
Yes, agree also Metal Church was one of the very best and also Gravedigger (Heavy Metal Breakdown) and Savatage (Sirens). These bands should have been right up there with anyone.
