As for my Persuation (most usefull thing i can do XD) Nat 20 + Commanding presence 8 + guidance 4 + 4 Persuation (+2 charisma and the sweet proficiency on it for +4) = 36 already. Soooo even 40 aint that high considering i could go double proficiency given a simple feat plus at some point my proficiency raises to + 3 and so on. Sooooo 30? Doable easy at lvl 8 already. If i hit 20 with that? Potential for 50+ is given... in 5e that is!
I got few nat 20s in stealth so the GM made me "unnoticeable". That is, no one could see me, or directly observe my actions, as there would be a delay of at least a few seconds before anyone was able to notice the change that just occurred. And I tried for like 3 hours to get a nat one so the GM would break it, and when I did, he had me roll perception. Got a second nat 1, and I slammed my face into a door so hard I knocked myself out.

Plus, that's assuming you're making a check that Commanding Presence works with, with a skill you're proficient in, in a situation where your caster had the chance to cast Guidance. Expertise with a single feat? Absolutely! And only in that one skill. Some stars have to align just to give you a shot at that 0.16%. That's why rolling a 30 is such a big deal: Just because it's strictly possible doesn't mean it's remotely probable.

My dm made it so that if I roll a 40 or higher I can cast blink 😌 So far my cap is still only 39 even with Pass Without Trace because I’m multiclassing rogue 5/ranger 3 and we’re on point buy so my base stats aren’t very hig and we don’t have any real buffers… but I’m holding out on the day our bard comes back from scheduling conflicts and I can simply choose to disappear for a hot second So yeah! I think you *can* and *should* be able to blink out of existence if you stealth hard enough 😁 just ask your dm

Remember that a Nat 20 is not automatically success for a skill check. That only applies to attack rolls. Some people play it this way, and that can be fun too, but it's not the general rule.
