I don't think every person that plays the game is gonna quit but I 100% agree with him. Fortnite has definitely been lacking updates, I don't know if anybody else realizes by I think the battle passes have been getting less interesting. I really hope that Fortnite sees this, I'm super excited for the next season/Chapter, and I hope it gets better before everybody leaves the game. (No offense)
C2s2 was one of the last good battle passes, season 4, was also amazing, 7 was good, 8 was alright, chapter 3 season 1 was mid, season 2 was alright and season 3 was mid with season 4 also being mid, it's less fortnite and more

Its slowly dying because its not as fun as it was before. Before all these chapter things (the og days) me, my brother and our friends would just casually play the game as no-skins, camp in buildings, have good laughs, also have good rages lol, there was no BOTS but it was actually all real players, and it was just much simpler and way more fun. Ever since these chapter things came and the og seasons are gone, we all quit.

Fortnite's not dead but some things have made the player base go down, one key thing is that fortnite seems too complicated with too much in the game for og players who simply wanna play a br game, they also need to make the loot pool more balanced while still keeping it fun

The game is dead and is desperate for relevance so they destory their map for the 4th time hoping for a spike in popularity (which didnt work) now they've just been relying on crossovers to keep people buying their shitty battle passes
I think the updates have been slower due to fortnite being a lot more simple back then and now we have more complex items, big map changes every update, and new story elements going through. Back then we only had a new item a few small map changes a few new challenges and bug fixes.
Also back then they just had nothing to lose wich made it more fun than now
People have hated builds for awhile because of all the trash items that just destroy builds in milliseconds. Grenades goo gun evo… car with cow catcher. Shockwaves. People would play builds if their builds would protect them once again. Also. Give siphon on knock (completely remove thirsting), Kevin just keep you suspended until all teammates are dead or 200 seconds. 500 second reboot cards have turned us into runaway rebooting Andy’s. Instead of fighting or dying together with your team. Like it should be
Epic has made us weak
Used to be an addictive and enthusiastic player for Fortnite, but I quit a month ago for the same reason as everyone else. The game has already made its downfall, with too many skilled and sweaty players preventing us to enjoy and have constant burnouts is one of those important factors.

Maybe if they added back actual ltms like one shot or headshots only and stopped being lazy and incorporated an arena award system, added syphon to pubs, brought back late game arena and made it good, higher chest spawn. All these things made the game fun even when everything else in the game was boring. I don't know why they can't add at least one of these things back to the game. I've noticed that very few people are talking about the things I've mentioned and I'm annoyed about it.

I think it's slowly falling off because of the player skill. It's not as fun as it once was for the people who just wanted to chill and hang out with friends. Now it's just nothing but sweaty players all the time and the new events are too lame to make people come back. Like Summer and Halloween have been a complete let down this year.
I agree because when I play I do like fortnite but it's getting a little bit annoying because the updates like the zombies who go after you and kill you and all the people who just build and show off then kill I'm starting to think of taking a break of fortnite like my cousin did

For updates people need to realize they are also working on a massive storyline which is what makes it unique
I've been playing for almost 3 years for almost every day and I think it's kinda of dying. I feel that the game has gotten way harder than ever before due to competitive matchmaking. Back then I was pretty decent and I was on Nintendo switch. Then it got way harder then I got my gaming pc and was good for a bit because I had better fps and controls. But now I keep getting pushed by fast editors and builders who can go a million miles an hour. when I go to zero builds its easier but due to me playing less and less I got worse. Now the only reason I play is for the XP grind. But that brings to another problem, THE XP SYSTEM. I feel every time a new season comes out, the XP is harder and harder to get. If they would actually give tons of XP getting like 5 levels a game with NO CHALLENGES, I'd play again for countless hours. I feel that they should make a bot lobbies mode that has only AI and the XP for everything is quadrupled.
If Fortnite brings back season one ill play the game religiously

I'm glad that someone understands that Epic can't just add whatever everyone wants whenever. It takes time to develop new things and to consider how it might impact the player base. I see people complain about something cool being vaulted or that something that was expected to come didn't come. These things happen because they need to fix glitches or prevent things from splitting the player base. They've had troubles with that, but they still try their dang hardest.

It will never die, people who still play this game play it because they love it . When they quit they will eventually quit gaming and continue with their life, so it will only die when a new game is invented that is an entire new thing never thought before, in the next years the 13 year old/14 year olds who used to play will be about 16/17 and they will have found something else in life, so it's about when a new invention is made, but me myself think that this game will always dominate the category, in the future their might be completly different games than the ones we have today.
My problem with fortnite is that started basing the gameplay off of the storyline more and more, and one of the reasons I loved fortnite was the wacky pointless arcade-ish gameplay. Now all of the new weapons and items always have to tie into the plot in one way or another, instead of just giving us fun weapons to play around with

@Kian I don't have to imagine, also just because the game isn't as popular as it used to be doesn't mean it's trash all of a sudden, there are still good games that don't have as much players, there's Among Us, Fall Guys, a few of the earlier CoD games. i wouldnt say that the game is dead, but in other words the old players are starting to move on, it went from a simple game that was fun when you got off work or came home from school, after a while "a new generation of players came in" and the older players couldnt keep up anymore, kinda like smartphones, elders have to ask kids how to do things with new tech because they have never experienced it in their life. that is whats happening but on a smaller scale.

I love Fortnite, but I think they need to add something. They need to bring back the old map, bring back the old weapons, and get more updates. I personally love the old Fortnite way better and I don’t really like this season. I know epic can’t change anything about how good people are, but when I get into really good lobby’s, I get really frustrated Because of how good they are. The player base is so ungrateful. Be appreciative that Epic still wants to work on this game. I play TF2, and that game is 10 years older than Fortnite and hasn't had a major update in half a decade. I also see that, no matter what Epic puts out, everyone says it's lackluster or it sucks. The TF2 fanbase goes crazy when there are PATCH NOTES, let alone a Halloween or Christmas update. I also see on Twitter, which is a cesspool, people are constantly saying that the game is dead, over and over in every tweet sent out from the Fortnite Twitter account. I don't get how hard it is to ignore something you don't like. People need to appreciate the fact that Epic is putting out the best that they can to make this game live on for years and be a load of fun. Every year, there are videos put out saying the same things over and over telling you that "Fortnite is Dead". Now of course, if you don't like something, say you don't like it, but please don't harass someone just because they like a video game, that makes you look like an ass.

This is what I think they need. Something with the zero point goes wrong, and it takes us back to the chapter 1 map back in time before the black hole sucked up everything. Then they can have any updates where as time goes on parts of the chapter 2 in chapter 3 map come in. Most people quit while ago just because they miss the old maps because the new maps arent as fun.

Personally I stopped Fortnite cuz I thought it was moving too fast. With all the weekly updates and stuff, it was hard for me to keep up
Fortnite is dying because there are less live interactions, llama sending to creators, giant metal burger being teleported, live fncs, people enjoy shows and real life experiances, that is what it is missing, we love you fortnite, we need live interactions not only ingame updates

Who agrees that we should be able to chose a map to play battle royale and zero build on? It could spice up the gameplay. And it would bring people from PubG to fortnite
I don't think Fortnite is going anywhere, but as long as they fix bugs, improve latency and upkeep competitive integrity it'll be fine.
What Epic doesn't understand is that people tend to stick to things that'll never change - Epic has been drastically changing the dynamics of the game, with the implementation of frustrating items, glitches, exploits, removing FOV/stretched, and so on. I speak for a lot of people (both casuals and competitive) who noticed that with every update, Epic finds a way to mess something up. Fix the basics, before implementing "content" updates.

I hate how Blizzard tried to pass off overwatch 2 as a sequel, when it could've very well been just an update. I don't see how they couldn't have just added all the "new" heros to overwatch 1 and called it a day. Yes I like some of the reworks, sombra being able to hack while invisible is cool, but getting rid of lootboxes, getting rid of ways to earn credits, and the orisa rework made me hate the game. If they kept those 3 things I would've been ecstatic. But no, they tried to pass it off as a "NEW" game which doesn't even make sense, all the changes and reworks could've been released within a timespan of 2023.

I play less and less every season for the last 4, I still like the game I think the matchmaking is the worst. I play 3 to 5 games at night that's it, and I'm getting ran threw by people with 20 and 25 kills, that's playing the game 8 hours a day, its hard to enjoy the game when you only play occasionally and keep getting into games with people that play 24/7

people underestimate that arena in fortnite has less than a minute queues for 100 players in NAE.
in shooters i've played, i'd be sitting in queue for 5 minutes in 5v5's.
