Hello there, from the USA! I was so saddened to hear that THE Queen had passed, my condolences. I have been watching Robbie on the Naughty Lass and saw you. I thought why not watch them too. You are showing off your country in a way that I will never see it and I thank you for that. England was the one country I really wanted to visit now at 74 I won't be coming. Thank you for sharing. Virginia in Tennessee.
Thank you so much for joining us Virginia, and hope you enjoy our videos. It is a very sad time for us all right now, but we could all learn a lesson from that wonderful lady
It's a swarm of Bee's. The Queen needs a new home and the they go find one. Love your Vlogs they're both fun and natural. Keep it up guys been subscribed for a long time now.
Hi my wife and I have recently started watching your vlogs. Really enjoyable. Hope you enjoyed your time in Lechlade, our hometown. All the best Paul and Lynda.
This was such a treat for the eyes, your sweet daughter and her beautiful smile, the cute little boats, and the boat with all the colorful healthy flowers, the new hat and the cute gal who wears it, and all the countryside. Very nice!
Newbury is very nice. I was raised there. My Mum was sitting on the river bank collecting signatures to petition the Huge office blocks they wanted to build right next to the locks in Newbury. She managed to establish a society that overlooks development of beautiful places in Newbury. This was all right before she passed away of Cancer in 1972.
Those blackberries looked delicious. Back in the late '70s and early '80s, we used to pick blackberries all the time in Florida (USA). Nowadays, with so much deforestation in America, it's hard to find blackberries anywhere in cities anymore.
Thank you wonderfull scenery, slowly catching up to date with your vlogs interesting how your video skills are coming on you have some wonderfull nature and wildlife scenery a bit different from crossing the Mersey although thankfully there were no green buoy's to jump out from nowhere and attack Fran !!.
Hello , we are enjoying your videos very much, really love the 2 of you . That was super, . Really felt like we were with you both on the boat. wish we were. ,!!! Thank you very much.
To get water from a tap without threads, pickup a plumbing adapter with a rubber fitting with a hose clamp on the faucet and threads on the other end.. commonly needed for rv,s in the usa.
My mum and I love watching your videos. We are sitting here in Melbourne Australia thinking...'narrow boat on the canals of the UK... that's going on the bucket list'. Keep up the great videos.
I have recently found your vlog. I watch many of the boat tubers and haven’t seen any of them navigating the K&A. I am really looking forward to seeing this footage as if my plans come to fruition, this is where I will be starting my own adventure. Love watching your videos and seeing how proficient you have become in such a short time
Good to see you both enjoying.I would unpack the laminate from its plastic wrap and stackem flat.Saves tears later down the road/canal with warping.;@)
Hi folks. I’m two’ing and frowing from one Vlog to another here, have to say I’m enjoying the viewing. Great footage. Love that art work on the bridges and the towpath. Hopefully by now you’ll have had your knee seen to. I will catch up on more as and when. Land life busy as usual.
It’s great to see another boat TUber doing K&A, we cut our teeth on the K&A before it was fully restored, I am certain you will have a good trip and try and time it to visit Crofton when the engines are in steam it’s a true site and trip back in time KevinH
Great find with the berries. I'm jealous! I live in Virginia Beach and last place that I used to get them has dried up I need to find a new one. Nothing better than fresh blackberries!
we love going back and watching your previous vids. gives us fab information cos you guys are so cool we learn heaps. We avid followers and hubby sits to watch too! cheers guys :)
Thanks for the lovely video, yours are in my top favorites. You let the scenery and wildlife sounds play out, so relaxing and peaceful. Thanks for sharing and more please!!
Good stuff. I wish my boat was on the Thames at the moment, I'd be swimming every day. I'd recommend popping down the Wey on your way back to London as it is lovely. Enjoy the K&A but the locks can be hard work.
Hey Rich, i know this is a few days late, and your post probably not in real time. But i just wanted to give you a bit of warning. Be careful with the pain medication. I've been on them for about 5 yrs and will be on them rest of my life. Take it from someone who knows, super super easy to get hooked. Ok enough soap box. Hope you and Fran have a great time on the K&A
Love the vlogs, open honest and refreshing, as always, so natural. We haven’t got ours yet, still hiring but hope to get one in the next few years as we may be able to step off the rat race treadmill. It’s amazing as life moves on what is valuable. Time together and time to enjoy the scenery. Loved the point Fran made about living in England but have not explored Oxford or Bath etc. It makes me realise the quality of exploring without limits or agendas. Well done you two, living the dream. 👍
I return to England from Australia every chance I get. I hire a car, plug in Google maps and just drive. It's not until to leave that you appreciate what a fabulous place it is. Just driving through beautiful countryside, beautiful coastline, the pubs and churches, it really is an endlessly, inexhaustibly, rewarding way to spend a summer.
Inspiring vid as usual. We hope to be on the canals as soon as our house here in France sells. Our boat is waiting for us! It’s frustrating not being there but watching vid s like this keeps us looking forward. Like you guys we too have realised how little of our own country we haven’t seen and can’t wait to get back there! Stay safe and hope to see you on the cut...
I wish I'd seen you on the river about my home city. What a lovely relaxing lifestyle you are enjoying, thanks for sharing the journey. Also, your dog made me smile so much, reminds me of my own springer who absolutely loved water as well x
Hi guys. Thank you once again for another brilliant vlog. I really enjoy every one. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your journey to Bristol. I don't blame you for giving the Bristol channel a miss. That would be scary in a narrow boat. Keep it up guys.
Well done, we are about a year ahead of you, and did what your doing last year.but we went on to do the river wey instead of Lechlade. That's a reccomend end trip for three weeks.. We spent 6 weeks on k and a first, lovely trip, gets better the further you go, and the longer in Bristol the cheaper it works out. We have. Gold license this year, so doing e a to Bedford , Cambridge etc, now turned round and going to try to get up to where you have just been for the end of summer. Might pass you in sept, but I don't fancy the regent canal mid summer, rivers are best in summer, all other seasons canal.😀
Another great vlog guys, really enjoying watching your adventures. We've just bought our first boat and are hoping to set off on our adventure around the network next week, decamping back home for the winter 😊 Keep the vlogs coming and enjoy... 🍷🍷
Great for the brain blackberries .......And mushrooms have anti carcinogens , as long as you cook the mushrooms otherwise they are carcinogenic ........
Did you have any problems with the cows at Letchlade. They have a reputation for eating anything off the boats moored in the field and have even been known to put their hoofs on the roofs of narrow boats to eat the flowers on top. Killer cows we call them!

Ha Ha, you understand don't you? That is just what happened. You can tell I'm better on quiet canals
Long time ago, but hope your knee is better. I battle with mine as well. Going for a replacement soon, cannot wait.
Working through your vlogs for the second time. Those were lovely murals/ paintings on the walls under the bridges.
They were. Some of the murals we see are lovely and there are obviously some very talented people out there.
We live a few miles from Lechlade. There is a wonderful fish and chip shop (Monica’s) in the town and The Christmas Shop (well worth a visit).
love that you are wearing the narrowboat experience pin on your hat.
Looks like you two are having a fab time. Love your blogs xxx

Lovely! The trip down to Bristol sounds interesting. Agree, canals are very different from the rivers, canals are like a world apart.

Such a shame

Hi Steve. Great news, where's your boat? Fran x
We are on the Grand Union not far from Gayton..
Can't wait now... 🍷🍷
absolutely Rich
That teal blue boat had 13 solar panels on it’s roof.
Great for the brain blackberries .......And mushrooms have anti carcinogens , as long as you cook the mushrooms otherwise they are carcinogenic ........
Search Amazon for a water bandit to get water from spigot without threads.
Does Fran have a recipe for mushroom rolls, thanks for sharing
Only seem to see narrow boats on the canals. Can/Do other types of boats use the canals?
Alway brown 😀never red 😒
